Such a "phenomenal" job on your review&the breakdown was BONKERS!! I like how you pointed out that a writer should take his reader on a interesting and exciting "journey"! That makes the work not only enjoyable for the reader but also the writer😎 both share the experience which is breathtaking! Your review was like a "dissection" and I personally admire that😎 keep up the good work.
Didn't enjoy the last comic (because of the twist at the end) but it was still a great series. I don't think I will buy the complete volume though. I agree with a number of your comments about some of the characters.
Been thinking about reading more indie books after finishing my first one which was Invincible. Always been interested in this series as I heard about it, but I think this has officially sold me on grabbing it as my next indie book to my image library. Feel like this could easily be a Netflix series.
I agree with SCC's choices (haven't had chance with Bone yet though, ironic for the Maddogg!). But it's meant to be getting a movie which will be interesting :) I'd also add Criminal to your list of recommendations :) Thank you for watching the video!
Great review Dogg! Having literally just read this as well, it definitely sounds like you share a lot of my general feelings about the book. Love the art, story was solid but maybe could have been streamlined, but also never felt like a chore to read. I actually read this in one sitting, which is rare for me! Sounds like you definitely were more annoyed at some aspects of the storytelling than I was, and I definitely wasn't spotting such hard links between this and Death Note. I think that some of the links themselves are possibly weaker than you're making out, but perhaps don't feel as weak because of the amount of links you're able to make. Definitely worth noting though, and now I wonder how much this was consciously influenced by Death Note. I think overall you're spot on saying that the story deserves a 7 or maybe 8 out of 10... I think I would maybe lean towards 8 because of just how well it does the things that it gets right. I could not argue much with anyone wanting to give it a 7 though. And when you add in the art, that number definitely shifts upwards to an 8 out of 10, or 4/5 woofes as you excellently put it (I think you basically have to keep that rating system now, I love it!) As a side note, I love the format of the video and how you've broke it down into the sections that you have. 4/5 woofes, would recommend :)

Definitely is an easy read though, reminded me of when I first read Criminal :) Yeah, I kinda get that, I am a bit of a nitpicky person (hence why the reviews end up going on forever haha) and I respect that I was probably the slim minority who was bothered by the Death Note similarities, but they didn't impact the reading experience as a whole and in hindsight I may have been a tad unfair on how much focus of this review went into that aspect. Maybe a second reading would help me to get past it, as Death Note was something that I only recently watched so it's fresh in my mind. Although I'm still not letting go of the Kira sharing haha! :P I'm probably an eight as well if I'm honest with myself. Reviews are weird for me, sometimes I feel like I can naturally be too generous and then lower the score a bit just so I feel like I'm not gushing haha, hopefully I'll refine that over time. I like the TLDW idea, which might be really useful for me if you ever start doing more Manga reviews :P Also I feel like a lot of "reviews" these days completely miss the point, and basically just summarise (and probably spoil) the story rather than offer any kind of useful insight or analysis. Your review was packed with insight and analysis, and you went out of your way to ensure that it catered for both those who don't want the story spoiling and those who want the extra depth of discussion without the limits of avoiding spoilers. I know it probably just feels like I'm patting you on the back for everything you do these days, but honestly I can see and appreciate your whole approach to your videos on this channel and think it's really well thought out. And just to balance out all that gushing and prove that I'm not just endlessly praising you, I'm not a fan of the background music :P but I can get over that presentational choice when the content is so on point!
Great review. I enjoyed the story mostly, but the ending kinda was wack to me. Plus the final panel of Liz and the demon is kinda....hinky I think. I knew it would devolve into dark subject matter and wouldn't be happy, but it did read very quickly. It's standard Brubaker crime stories

Especially after the hauls as well! :P Hopefully the style choices on this worked though, I really want my videos to feel like effort has gone into them, even if it means I have to learn how to use photoshop haha! I liked the book but man the social commentary was not done well at all. There was zero subtlety and I was half expecting the characters to look right at me and tell me why society sucks

Indie is great I’d recommend fear agent,ninja turtles by IDW,walking dead & Bone is one of my favourites

Couldn't get past the 1st TPB. Really couldn't connect with Dylan and didn't like the teasing cliff hanger stuff. Just wasn't enough pay off.
