I wish I had a four bedded bay, I’m on my first placement and I have to look after 8-10 patients all in single rooms. Since I’m doing complex care half or more of the patients are bed bound, and they all have complex additional needs.
Hello @reuben3694, even though it sounds like it has been bust for you, I really hope you are enjoying your placement. Yes, the idea of a 4 patient workload was just an example to make the points in the video but the principles remain exactly the same regardless of the patient workload. It is vital while you are learning that the support remains; and while your workload pressure increased, the support should also. I hope you are getting all the support you need and best of luck with your studies!
Thanks Ben! Your videos are so informative ☺️ I've got my nursing interview next week 😳 x
