Very excited, I have collected 9 legacy sabers, and I had a chance to get Windu in the park, but I prioritized other ones over that one, then they discontinued it😪 BUT ONE FATEFUL DAY I SAW AN AD FOR THE LEGACY HOLIDAY PACKS AND BOUGHT ONE IMMEDIATELY.

I hope they continue to improve. Now all they need to improve the smooth swing. Especially knowing you can get a "smooth swing" saber from other companies for less than 100.00. For double the price, they could add that in. Thoughts?
Super cheap, super massed produced circuitry.Disney.🤦♂️. There are some UA-camrs who have modded the circuitry to be much more sensative. The blade light up effects can be better with tweaking. My kids did the Savi’s workshop sabers and the experience was awesome. We bought the stands so the hilts look great on their bookshelves! One word of warning. These blades are not to be used for jousting/fighting. LED’s on a long wire up the center break easily leaving a dead spot on the blade. They are 100 bucks!! A couple of pieces of scotch tape applied evenly on the sides of the black base of the blade makes a much tighter fit!!!!

Love the battery pack improvement and the potential blade improvement, hope we see those very over to newer sabers and newer models of the older sabers that are still available
I might be alone in this, but having collected previous Legacy sabers and blades, I prefer the smaller solid plastic box packaging. I previously had Force FX sabers and the long cardboard packaging was a nightmare for taking up too much storage space and getting damaged. The hardshell legacy boxes are much more compact and the 'storage crate' like nature makes accidental storage damage less of an issue and some would even say it makes them more accurate. Being able to use 1-2 blades across the whole collection not only saves money but is better for the environment too, not to mention less stuff to store away. They are only really necessary for people who are just starting the collection as they would not have a blade. IMO the stand that's included in the new sets is not needed as if they were on display they'd look much better in the crate with the lid open... I just really hope they continue to deploy new releases in the plastic crate format as well, as it will probably prevent me from continuing the collection if they don't
Hey Tom, I know what you mean. I even have a couple of good friends who really enjoy painting and weathering their Sabre crates. Definitely as much smaller container for a collection takes up less space.

I have experienced the same problem with my Windu Galaxy's Edge Lightsaber with the batteries, at first I thought it was broken before acknowledged the battery issue as thought it had broken on the flight back to Scotland, but its still going strong nice purple Lightsaber can't complain, I am coming back to get another one though so thank you for the update and great channel BTW just recently found it.
the most likely reason for the color improvement is higher quality LEDs, lower quality LEDs have an issue emitting a good purple as the color mixing isnt very accurate for a multitude of reasons, so purple ends up as a deep magenta, which is probably the color your seeing in the old blade. also, not being able to display the purple you were seeing over video is a common problem, so no big deal.
Hey Justin, I think you were absolutely right. I'm just a little bummed that I think I have 12 other blades from Star Wars land that are the older model with older LEDs. Ha ha 😫
I saw this at Disney Springs in Florida about a week ago. I’m definitely tempted to pick it up since it’s an improved Mace Windu. I originally wasn’t going to get his at all since it had been discontinued but now that they’ve brought it back and improved it… I NEED it

I was able to get the Skywalker saber from the online shop and I have the Leia saber from the park (with a park blade) so I was able do some experiments like you're doing in the video. The park blade in my Skywalker hilt made the squeaking sound like you're talking about but the bundle blade didn't squeak so I think you're right about them maybe making the base a bit thicker on the bundle blades.
My son has several Hasbro Black Series, Galaxy's Edge Tatooine Trader Black Series and the custom build experience lightsabers from Galaxy's Edge but nothing compares to a $90 lightsaber we purchased for him from Amazon. The blade, lights, and sound card were so superior that dozens of people were coming up to us asking if we bought it in the park. And the Amazon purchased lightsaber did not even have the neopixel blade that scrolls up when turned on, and scrolling down when turning off.
What is a tatooine trader black series? * nevermind, I looked it up. Just hasbro black series sold at a store in disneyworld called "tatooine traders". Same as any other black series, just sold at disneyworld.
I have this Mace Windu one and the Darth Vader one from shopdisney. Though my collection includes the Darth Maul episode 1, the Empire Strikes back and Return of the Jedi Luke, and the Phantom Menace/Attack of the Clones Obi Wan with the Maul Shadow Collective one coming. Though I looked at the battery compartment on the Darth Vader one has nothing to hold the batteries in place.
Sound and motion detection for these lightsabers still sucks. Not worth the price with that short coming IMO. Disney can do better with the swing motion technology that is available.
My only dislike of it is the blade length of 30 inch instead of 36 but other then that I’m 100% buying it when I go to the park in 11 days, I’m getting the luke/anakin
I didn't read through all the comments as there are so many. Purple is a good test with the LEDS to see if there is a clear difference but I'm curious if you compared the new blade in any other legacy hilts to see if there is a quality difference in color as well. I have a good number of blades varying from opening day all the way up to about 2 weeks ago and I've personally noticed some differences but they do not all correlate to when purchased. I'm thinking on the ones that are purchased separate at least that it is kind of a crap shoot on the LEDS that happen to be in your particular blade. Some blades I can see clear lines and "dead space" in between the LEDS where others its a perfect smooth light all the way up and down.
“Great Christmas gift” if you can get your hands on any of them. The damn things sell out within a day or two of restocking and take weeks to come back because of all these damn scalpers wanted to sell them for $600 on eBay.
Good question ahchiu9! Earlier this year they sold the Sabres by themselves, but all of these packages come with the blade, Stan, and belt clip. No other options.

I’d love one of these but they’re so expensive for me though lol but I just found a 2 pack of these other sabers that are decently cheap ($70 plus $15 shipping) and they look pretty good, plus I’m not looking for anything super fancy for my first saber(s) so I might get those
You get what you pay for... these really aren't that expensive. Average price for a decent custom saber is around $500 with neopixel, not including blade.

I’m wondering the same and having trouble finding the answer. I sold my ROTJ Luke hilt and my customer said it’s not working well with his Vader Legacy kit blade. Let me know if you found anything out about this. Thank you!
I have a question that I cannot find the answer online and I know this may be a stupid question. But is the legacy set that you can buy on ShopDisney contain the same hilt that you could buy at the den of antiquities Hollywood Studios galaxy’s edge? Reason for this question I don’t make it down to Disney as often as I would like and really want to get one of the legacy light sabers from there but if I could order a similar one off of shop Disney, I would do that seeing that I do not have anyone that lives down in Florida to obtain a legacy hilt from galaxy edge itself
Allow me. The hilt should be the same. The only difference is the one you see in the shopDisney (Skywalker, Mace Windu) are a retired sabers from Dok Ondar. Despite the improvement explanation in this video, it should be the same. The meaning for legacy set has changed. Cause now for the certain sabers like Vader, Obi-Wan, Luke, you can get either just a hilt or the full package with blade, hilt, belt clip and stand.
This is helpful. I have an old Mace as well. I just hope this inane supply chain crisis ends soon. WDW is bare when it comes to merchandise overall. Just spent 5 days there. There was only two legacy savers available in Batuu East (leia and Ben solo) in the morning. By evening Dok Ondar had ZERO SABERS of any kind available. Worse, Disney Springs shops don’t carry sabers, crystals, holocrons, costumes…. It’s very very sad….
We are going the last week in March and it will be our first ever trip to WDW . I hope everything is worked out by then because I was hoping to get a Skywalker saber and a Droid . My family would really be let down if that didn't work out .

Disney needs to offer these with smooth swing technology. The sound effects and the inconsistency when clashing and swinging with sound not matching up with the movement sucks big time.
I’m glad Disney are looking at doing some quality control, if I’m honest though I’d be more interested in Ahsoka (Rebels). It’s just a shame that we don’t get these here in the UK.

Just so you know you can get Vader/Skywalker since a few weeks back in the UK. Would be nice to have more such as Ahsoka's like you said but still nice for us to easily be able to access them!

I can feel it in my waters right now, I’ve just got a funny feeling that Luke (episode VI) may be the next Lightsaber to go on sale, maybe. To be honest I can kind of live with that, even Maul if they wanted to go there. I wish they would get rid of the dumb clear bulbous end caps they have on these saber blades, to me that could be one of the most massive changes. I personally never understood why they can’t just form the end into the rest of the blade and diffuse it to match.
A Blaster, with three barrels, each spaced three inches apart, forming a triangular shape. A Lightsaber can only intercept two energy beams, leaving the third to pass the blade, and hit its target.
@@karlkanner3467 Not so. If the Lightsaber blade moved to intercept a previously intercepted beam, the third beam would get through. The blade can not be in two places at the same time.

Currently sold out so I still can’t get my mace windu saber. 3 years and still no luck. Considering it was $135 before and now it’s $220. They definitely are getting a bit full of themselves lately. Everything is getting too expensive there.
A. The price of all hilts had a price bump earlier this year. B. The 135 price point was just for a hilt. No blade, no stand, no belt clip. They don't sell a 31 in blade by itself as that's saved for Savis sabers but you're looking at about 50 bucks for the blade. The belt clip is sold for 20 bucks at the parks and a different stand they sell is sold for 25. All in all the price is comparable to everything combined

Would these improvements also bleed over into Saavi's Workshop blades and battery packs? Can anyone confirm this?
I would hope so too. My savi saber is ok but yeah the swing delay... and how thick the overall saber is just feels... off.

You get what you pay for... these really aren't that expensive. Average price for a decent custom saber is around $500 with neopixel, not including blade.
Hey Ben, thanks for the comment. If you would not mind I would like to make a recommendation. Even if it cost a little bit more I recommend buying your all time favorite Saber! Other sabers might have more features but the heart wants what it wants. Ha ha 👍🏻

Are the blades from the legacy lighsabers from shopdisney compatible with the legacy lightsabers/ savis workshop blades from disney world?

I have a question that I cannot find the answer online and I know this may be a stupid question. But is the legacy set that you can buy on ShopDisney contain the same hilt that you could buy at the den of antiquities Hollywood Studios galaxy’s edge? Reason for this question I don’t make it down to Disney as often as I would like and really want to get one of the legacy light sabers from there but if I could order a similar one off of shop Disney, I would do that seeing that I do not have anyone that lives down in Florida to obtain a legacy hilt from galaxy edge itself
Allow me. The hilt should be the same. The only difference is the one you see in the shopDisney (Skywalker, Mace Windu) are a retired sabers from Dok Ondar. Despite the improvement explanation in this video, it should be the same.
The meaning for legacy set has changed. Cause now for the certain sabers like Vader, Obi-Wan, Luke, you can get either just a hilt or the full package with blade, hilt, belt clip and stand.

I just hope this inane supply chain crisis ends soon. WDW is bare when it comes to merchandise overall. Just spent 5 days there. There was only two legacy savers available in Batuu East (leia and Ben solo) in the morning. By evening Dok Ondar had ZERO SABERS of any kind available. Worse, Disney Springs shops don’t carry sabers, crystals, holocrons, costumes…. It’s very very sad….
We are going the last week in March and it will be our first ever trip to WDW . I hope everything is worked out by then because I was hoping to get a Skywalker saber and a Droid . My family would really be let down if that didn't work out .

Disney needs to offer these with smooth swing technology. The sound effects and the inconsistency when clashing and swinging with sound not matching up with the movement sucks big time.
I’m glad Disney are looking at doing some quality control, if I’m honest though I’d be more interested in Ahsoka (Rebels).
It’s just a shame that we don’t get these here in the UK.

Just so you know you can get Vader/Skywalker since a few weeks back in the UK. Would be nice to have more such as Ahsoka's like you said but still nice for us to easily be able to access them!

I can feel it in my waters right now, I’ve just got a funny feeling that Luke (episode VI) may be the next Lightsaber to go on sale, maybe.

I really don’t understand Disney on how they don’t release Cal Kestis legacy lightsaber but yet they have the time to repackage the legacy lightsabers of Mace Windu, Darth Vader, and Anakin Skywalkers lightsabers to make them in a different package.

I wish they would get rid of the dumb clear bulbous end caps they have on these saber blades, to me that could be one of the most massive changes. I personally never understood why they can’t just form the end into the rest of the blade and diffuse it to match.
It would cost Disney more than they’re willing to spend when it’s not enough of an issue for enough people to hurt their sales of blades.

A Blaster, with three barrels, each spaced three inches apart, forming a triangular shape. A Lightsaber can only intercept two energy beams, leaving the third to pass the blade, and hit its target.
Solution: Carry a shoto saber always.
Except the lightsaber can be swung or rotated, thus blocking all 3 (aka plot armor)

Also, I've just watched the scene that you referred to, you can see them move. If they were going faster than light, you would not be able to see them.

Currently sold out so I still can’t get my mace windu saber. 3 years and still no luck. Considering it was $135 before and now it’s $220. They definitely are getting a bit full of themselves lately. Everything is getting too expensive there.
A. The price of all hilts had a price bump earlier this year. B. The 135 price point was just for a hilt. No blade, no stand, no belt clip. They don't sell a 31 in blade by itself as that's saved for Savis sabers but you're looking at about 50 bucks for the blade. The belt clip is sold for 20 bucks at the parks and a different stand they sell is sold for 25. All in all the price is comparable to everything combined

For christmas I bought my brother a Revan swtor mmo saber from habsro and revan kotor rpg sith saber from costal sabers. So in order to make a true red and NOT orangey red I need new batteries? Haven't opened them yet.
