30 years ago I was so into Tamtech, the 1/24 line of Tamiya RC cars...
you should also make a running footage before the upgrades to see the difference.

I remember when I was like 13, radio shack would sell these customizable rc cars that came in a kit in like a tool box. And you could change evwrythingg even the motors. which where pretty fucking fast. Miss them. Wish I could find some
I remember at the time my mom was dating this guy who owned a mechanic shop, and he had someone professionally give my rc car a real paint job with a clearcoat and everything when I poured glow sticks on it and messed the paint up..lol. Was so fucking sweet now that I remember

It reminds me so much of my xmod. I have the r-34 skyline. I like how we can change or upgrade everything with our cars. I think mine is about 12 years old now. Also it seems really cool with yours (new ones) they have apps for them now to change the settings. Everything was manual with mine. Cool video man, thanks for sharing. Linoleum was always fun to drift on or just slide around with slicks!

Used to club race these. Lots of fun but not as easy as it looks. There small,fast and react alot quicker than 1/10th scale.
you should test one mod vers the other stock to compare the diff in speed & handling,,
Rc is a damn cool hobby. I've put around 3000$ into it

This car reminds me of XMODS from Radio Shack only with CRAPPIER suspension. Is there a 4wheel drive mod for it? XMODS had shocks all the way around. It would be cool to compare this car with an upgraded XMOD.

First put a grease into a bearing for sand and dast protection before install in the wheel 👍
Looked fairly out of wack when he spun it, if the tires wobble that bad bearing won't help much

Ordered one these last year but never got it, was a shame though cause it would be my first kyosho Mini-Z and I had plans to fully mod it and drive it during my lunch time at work.
Not for nothing but the wl toys a&p series 1/28 scale cars are wayyyyyy quicker and only a 3rd of the price. For that type of money that thing should at minimum run on a lipo. I was pretty disappointed to see it only powered by 4 triple A's. But at least the body is very detailed. Great vid overall. Subbed

Just a tip. Before you start filming try to get your lines good. Also oil center damper would be more efficient. I race 1/12 scale btw. Its very similar.
You are right. But I guess there are no oil dampers in this scale.

I have 3 Mini-Z's still. An MR-01, MR-010 (AWD), and Monster. I hope you got the Ceramic bearing kit. The ceramic gave me an instant 20-30% difference in performance. (well, plus I know how to change the fets.... I have 2x3

To get more from the bearings he should have removed the dust cover that meets inside of rim for all and leave them in bearing oil over night then install on the car makes a huge difference in performance. Cool review though
Thanks a lot. The bearings are still working well, maybe I will make a test later on.
monsterchannel24 yeah I use to race micro oval it's a tip I got while doing that makes a huge improvement. I had the wheels spin for 2 to 2.5 minutes with no force only using my finger to spin it.
Stuff that... I thought 1/16 scale was a pain to work on and theses mini things are not cheap for a poor bastard like me !
