I’ve watched literally every minute of every blazer game since Scoot was drafted. The first 2 months of his career were an absolute disaster. He would consistently drive into multiple defenders in the paint with no plan, almost always turning the ball over or getting blocked at the rim. Also he simply couldn’t shoot. I was worried at first, but he’s not rushing his development and isn’t trying to force anything and it’s paying off for him now. He’s learning how to manipulate defenses to get teammates open, and has also improved his shot SO much. He’s becoming a really solid floor general. The team looks confident with him running the offense. Also Scoot is an interesting player because he’s only 6’3” but he’s impacting games defensively, getting a lot of deflections/steals and hustling for the loose ball. He’s improved so much in 1 year I really think the sky is the limit for him but at the very least he will be a very solid point guard for a long time.
He needs so much work with on ball defense though. I'm sure he'll get there but right now he's very lost trying to keep anyone in front of him. Everything else has looked awesome though.

He was overrated in beginning because he display raw talent but not enough sample size. He should have fell out of the top 10 pick. He is still worth 1st rounder. Now hes finally getting experience and figuring out. All he needs is repetition and confidence then you are looking at top 5 pick. Jalen green, Darius Garland comes to mind. it will take 3-5 years to blossom but it is worth wait for these players. Houston rocket have another similar situation in Amen Thompson except he already great defender. I think his offense and play making will be awesome in the next couple of years. Amen comp is Kawi Leonard. Amen is also a better defender than Kawi.
@Queue-NextUp The rockets are a good defensive team, Scoot is playing in a poor spacing team with a bad coach. Playing mid teams does not invalidate Scoot's recent explosion. Let's use the whole season stats. Scoot has jumped from 38% from the field to 42%. He jumped from below 32% from 3 to 35% this season. He's averaging the same amount of assists with fewer turnovers. Scoot is playing with a better pace and has improved his slashing ability. If you watched last season Scoot and this season Scoot, you'd see a massive difference. Is Scoot Henderson figuring it out? Obviously, yes, he is.

give this man the same patience we have for Jalen Green !! the better his shot is, the more rim running opportunities
It like give young player time like 3 -4 year in this nba it way more complicated basketball on offense and defense expicially for a 6’2 or 6’3 gaurd
