Thank you for the tips and tricks! I am waiting for this tent to arrive. Bought Naturehike Spider first a couple of weeks ago (I'm a short person) but it's a bit small so you can't spend time in there or take bags inside. I watched literally all videos on Cloud Peak 2, I think, and went through _all_ naturehike models and read customers' feedback. That took some time but I like to rule out until I find the perfect one for me. I wish you many happy campings!
Thanks for the comment. Hope you soon get your cloud peak 2. I have 2 tents. First was a 'Bessport 2P' - used it 2 or 3 times but was then bitten with the bug. Like you I must have watched as many Naturehike reviews as I could find. Settled on the cloud peak2 and really glad I did. It ticks all of MY boxes, plenty of room, seems to be jolly sturdy in wind, and I have used it 3 times in heavy rain and not a single sign of a leak. It appears to be pretty good at controlling condensation as well - so far. Just a damn shame about the zip though, but I guess these things happen. And many happy camps back at yer.
This brings back bad memories! To fix mine I took the stitching off the bottom of the zip and put them on that way. Took about an hour to get the zips back on! The guttering is a cool idea, I'd like to see it all set up. I tried to cut an old tarp to the same shape as the original roof cover but with an extra few inches over the doors for more rain cover, but it was too loose. The noise in the wind was horrific!
As soon as I get my new camera (don't want to rely on the mobile phone) I'll be planning my next excursion out into the wilds (about a 5 minute drive and 7 minute walk from home!). I really need to start thinking about a new site, but sadly I'm scared to death because of my health - I know from experience that a 30 minute walk with equipment would have me on the floor gasping and groaning! Think I'm lucky to have found a site so close to home - and it's just yards from a "NO CAMPING" sign! Had no problems so far tho'.
