You are going to make a great grandma. You will love taking your grandchildren shopping. Unfortunately I wasn't able to have children but I certainly was a great Aunt to my sisters' children. One of the highlights is talking the children to Walmart, Target etc. and letting them pick out stuff for their birthday and Christmas. It was one of my greatest pleasures. My sisters would tell me don't spend that much but I always had good jobs and could afford it so I never followed their advice. I can see you will probably do the same with your grandchildren.

She doesn't want the video to have long, quiet parts where nobody's talking. When she's shopping with her kids, such as a video like this, it would probably be better if she just didn't film it. She could show us, when they get home, the things that they picked out, if she really wanted to, and with Izzy's permission. She could stick to filming the videos when she's buying surprises for the kids, like for a birthday or something because then the kid wouldn't be with her. You don't shoot down their suggestions but instead just state you like or don't like something leaving up to your child whether he or she will choose it because they like it. I have those slap bracelet to do lists, they are amazing - you can write with a regular pen and then just wash them in sink and it will come off. A dry erase could wipe off mid shopping trip. MHO
