You do the best videos bro, that we really live in a world where I can watch a pro fighter explaining stuff for literally free while it is 4 am in Germany here.. thank you
Man, your content is amazing. You can see the passion that you have for the sport in every strike. Though there is no doubt that you've got the mind of a fighter, you've got the heart of a martial artist. Keep it up brother. Always a pleasure to watch
I can confirm the jab-right high kick. The first ever combo that worked for me. Sometimes not even throwing the punch, just extend the hand and make them flinch.
First off, I would like to compliment the extensive wardrobe options in this video. I really like these beginner/fundamentals videos. Reminders of the importance of explaining not only the "how" but also the "why" to beginners. Your narratives are always top notch. As for future content ideas, limited space rounds to complicate technique choices, super close quarters sparring, categorization of why a technique worked so well (power, appropriate technique or leverage etc.), anything clinch (especially judo v MT), planned counters to anticipated/expected counters, distance manipulation (making ourselves appear closer/further than we are), 2 v 2/3 v 3 haha, sparring outside of a gym to create an adverse condition (beach, rain, slope, snow, ball pit), your favorite MMA gear/products, rare submission/technique use, unequal conditioned sparring (no use of jab, cross etc), breathing work, controlling the centerline and anything using WC - Ip Chan stuff😂
Had my first spar (kickbokx) this week as a beginner (but lover of MMA)...Man its so hard to remember to execute combos when youre actually in there! I felt my movement was good, defence also..but offense was severely lacking. Normal for a first timer obviously, but eager to learn and started remembering ''oh yeah ive watched a gazillion MMASHREDDED videos why am I not remembering the combos''and now I realised: I need a single (or two max) combos or ideas I need to work on. This way I think I will learn more! So here I am rewatching so many videos and this one so far has really helped me a bunch! The hook bodykick is one im going to try!
That's awesome, and good job for getting out there and trying! I'm 46, I started Muay Thai this January (2024). I took part in my first First IKF-PKB point Muay Thai tournament Bout (11/23/24). I lost by split decision. But even with that, i had a lot of fun. And Learned SOOOOO much. I believe I'll do it again. But I will 100% work on the cardio. That was what really got me. Everyday cardio is definitely different than "fighting" cardio. :)
Jeff, I have to say. Thank you thank you thank you x1000000000 thank you. Today I truly excelled for the first time in training against seriously competent opponents, and I owe so much of where I am now to you. You are a continual inspiration, a source of good advice and a powerful example of what a practical, exciting, and safe martial artist can be. You have changed my life!
Today I learned the lesson of using the right tool for the job. Boxing is a hammer and I was trying to treat everything as a nail. No longer! Takedowns, Muay Thai, evasion, long guard, two handed long guard, hand traps, evasion evasion evasion, kick punch kick. All I can say is thank you.
You're right, we already vote to see more wrestling and grappling He's very good at it too But it seems he prefers more striking than anything else It looks like all videos are the same lol But it's always a pleasure to watch his videos
Taking wrestling and Jiu-Jitsu . 4 weeks into it ( I practice Thursday and Friday) definitely agree more BJJ /JJ clasess would be helpful! Am 8 months into Muay Thai and regular boxing
Had a 6month break due to being sick. First sparring session after break felt like ive never sparred before. These videos will be great help getting me back up. Also forgot how good your videos truly are, very educational! you are awesome my friend!
I always watch your videos for ideas for myself. As mostly a striker myself it's nice to see combos and tips that dont lead to grappling straight away 😂
Nice Jeff. So smart. I like 1 & 7 because throwing a left hook people arent usually looking for it and its harder to see it coming. I like your point about the knee being more powerful than the kick. The momentum from left attack to right attack throw more weight into it. Nice.:)
The first combo is interisting because you keep your right hand high to kick your opponent. It's not only about balance, but also to keep your opponent distant from you and if you put your hand above his hand you can avoid some punch from him
That always going to be my favorite kick. The roundhouse kicks. I use it to strike the knees, mid section, and head. And always use it when l be doing combos of course. Those who spars with me and fought against me will know that to. I also use side kicks with combos and hook kicks with combos, there l believe it works best, especially you throw a few fakes to catch your opponent by surprise. I use knee strikes when l'm very close to My opponent. Great video Jeff. Keep it up 👍
Mr jeff i really like how informative your videos are and i have learned a lot. i am very grateful for this. thank you. I would really like it if you could do a video about footwork. Overall keep up the good work. huge respect from bangladesh.
Nice video Jeff. It's crazy, sometimes you go hard on your sparring partners and sometimes easy, I guess you let them decide on how well the steak is cooked during sparring.
This is fkn brilliant. Im a karate guy who hasn’t sparred much but has started doing mma type sparring at my dojo on Sundays. I use your videos to get ideas. Tell me though - your left hook on that first combo looks very extended and long almost like a jab. Would a jab be a suitable substitute here? I feel super open throwing that hook from a distance
@@MMAShredded bro it’s crazy I tried this sparring my karate guys last night and it wouldn’t stop landing, you’ve got a new fan. My fiancée is annoyed cause I keep staying up late watching this vids and can’t wait to try them later. Cheers!
NO you can't BEND your kicking LEG!!! Says every Muay Thai coach. LOL love that you freezed it. So tired of coaches saying it's not a real kick. All the Thai legends do it too and kick with their foot to the jaw with a bent knee (Superbon) while falling backwards. NO you must always kick with the shin!! LOL
I was about to write the same kinda thing. Damn! I thought I was big, that guys hoooojah!! And he trains? Where Jeff does? Nah that'll be a pass here thankyou kindly sir. I just remembered I got that thing. But here's my lunch money ahead of time and I'll just give myself a quick nose bleed and surrender some dignity to save you the trouble and be on my way! 😬😃
Odd question but what is that band you have on your forehead? I always sweat alot from my forehead and constantly need to swipe it away. That looks useful and wont fall off in an instant. :)
A punch usually followed by a middle round kick (1st combo) so why people keep their hand up? Some people say that ''you cannot be KO by get a shoot to middle body'', i cannot affort a kick i say, do im wrong?
Becuase I am far enough from my opponent to know I am not in danger. I will bring them up as they close the distance . Keeping hands low make your punches less telegraph, more powerful and it rests my shoulders lmao
You do the best videos bro, that we really live in a world where I can watch a pro fighter explaining stuff for literally free while it is 4 am in Germany here.. thank you
thank you man!!!

I try to answer back as hard as they hit!
Question Jeff how do you like your slimmer red/blue shinguards versus your more padded fairtex ones? Do you have a preference?
