Welcome to a tour of gaming -pain- excitement! We begin with 4:41, quite possibly one of the most painful collaborations of design choices ever seen on this channel, or actually any gaming footage online, rivaled only by legends like _Back to the Future Part I&II_ . We continue down this tour with 8:50, where it is demonstrated how to properly start off a stage, really keeping the players on their toes. It really represents Tiertex's true quality, a fine sampling of the tour de force that was this wondrous union with U.S. Gold.
At 15:45, what do you think US Gold was trying to say having a bolt of lightning attempt to smite Indiana Jones after defeating THAT particular boss? Yikes!
It looks and sounds nice, but try playing it for two seconds and you'll be begging for any other version of the game. How in the world did they screw up the gameplay this badly?
@thisguy8373 I'm fine with a hard game as long as it's fun and it has some semblance of balance. This feels like an arcade game that some douchebag arcade operator set to the hardest level to vacuum up quarters, like they were hoping to disguise the fact that they were selling a 15 minute long game for $50.
Dr. Jones: "Junior?" Indy: "Dad..." Salaah: "Why do you call him 'Junior'?" Dr. Jones: "That's his name. (points to himself twice) Henry Jones...(points to Indy) Junior." Indy; "I prefer Indiana." Dr. Jones: "Your dog was named Indiana." Salaah: "You were named...for your dog?"
It does, though. A museum honoring the legacies of the worst companies and their terrible games. The exhibition would be called, "History never learned from repeats itself".
Now indy, juggle this overpass that requires you to duck, while a set of posts that requires you to jump is approaching, while an enemy who can ignore all of that is alternating shooting at you with low then high bullets over and over and over from just off screen. I remember things like this then always laugh when I see modern gamers complain of games being "cheap".
Thank you very much! I was very happy with your video so I checked if I had it and yes I have it!!! So now I play and I'm happy! And the cherry on the cake, with your video I can watch the solution of the difficult clues! Have a nice day
Well I mean it’s a lot easier to watch and listen to than the NES version, so it has that going for it. But dang those look like some ridiculously cheap hits, especially in Brunwald. I can’t even tell what those circle things were supposed to be!
I think they're spotlights. I'm not sure how they melt through Indy's health like that, though. You'd think that any weapon that could whack him like that would also hit the guards, or at least damage the wall.
And Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures on the Xbox 360, PS3 or Wii, and Indiana Jones & The Temple of Doom on the NES (both the Tengen and Mindscape versions) as well!
@NintendoComplete I disagree. Tiertex were definitely worse. Then again, Micronics games, what few of them were on the 16-bit generation, typically ran pretty alright compared to literally every game Tiertex made on stuff like the Amiga and Atari ST. Atomic Robo Kid on Mega Drive/Genesis, despite sounding very tinny, was pretty good for Micronics.
Awful game, easily one of the worst Indy games ever made (how did you make it look so easy?); the only thing I like about this version of the game is the music, with the fifth level's being my favorite, and that hilariously godawful noise Indy makes when he gets hit at 4:43 is the death noise from Strider Returns: Journey from Darkness, another rotten game Tiertex and U.S. Gold crapped out. UrinatingTree also summed up the bad ending where you choose the wrong Grail in his 2008 re-review of the game best (best review of this game): *"THAT'S **_IT?!_* That's all I get for that 'horrible death' that I get for choosing the wrong Grail?! It doesn't even look like he died! It's just like, it's seems like he aged 10, 15 years! 'Uh...you chose poorly! Now endure MIDLIFE CRISIS!!! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!'" 😂

Tiertex: It's always fucking something.
As expected for the makers of everything evil in gaming.
Tiertex and US Gold? A match made in hell.
Wasn't Strider Returns and that Olympics game with the 3D stick figures in it from this pair, too?
YUP.
At 15:45, what do you think US Gold was trying to say having a bolt of lightning attempt to smite Indiana Jones after defeating THAT particular boss? Yikes!
Yeah, the boss in the cave level also has a last ditch insta-kill move. There's so much bullshit.
Thor: "Hey now, this guy might be a huge jerk but he still loved Wagner!"
U.S. Gold and Tiertex? Sweet LORD! Someone call AVGN!
It looks and sounds nice, but try playing it for two seconds and you'll be begging for any other version of the game. How in the world did they screw up the gameplay this badly?
Meh, it's ok ..never was to hard for Myself, took a sec to figure mechanic's.
Look at the title screen and you’ll get your answer
“US Gold” and “Tiertex”

@@NintendoComplete 100% agree, difficulty here is arcade cheap, but watching Indie's butt while he climbs the rope makes it worth it lol.
@@NintendoComplete This game was brutal! I think I felt the pain along with you in this one.
That’s the old fashioned games for you, love them or hate them, they always find a way to mess with it

Indy: "Dad..."
Salaah: "Why do you call him 'Junior'?"

*_"U.S. Gold Presents..."_*
Oh no. Don't tell m-
*_"Tiertex"_*
Yep, that's what I thought.
I am not sure what is worse, this or Instruments of Chaos on the Genesis.
Oh man, that's a tough one. The whip in that game was ridiculous.
Instruments of Chaos for sure lol
I don't think this "Treasure" belongs in a museum.
It belongs in a crematorium!
It does, though. A museum honoring the legacies of the worst companies and their terrible games. The exhibition would be called, "History never learned from repeats itself".
@@LPetal86 Ah like The Museum of Failure.

Haha, and don't forget the pits that are concealed by the signs on some of the train tops! I so hate this game.

Have fun! :)
Boy and I thought the NES and Game Boy versions were bad.
Indiana Nope and the "No thankyou"
"Not for a carpenter."
Awesome amazing and stupendous video! 👍😊🤩
11:06 That is a diet I call, death!
Shortest video game along with Altered Beast since they both have 5 levels!
At least the music sounds kinda epic
Great game dis 1 of my favourites
I can tell it was an awful game solely from the title screen mentioning Tiertex

You should try “Indiana Jones Greatest Adventures” on the snes, it is one of the better 16bit Indiana jones games.
And Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures on the Xbox 360, PS3 or Wii, and Indiana Jones & The Temple of Doom on the NES (both the Tengen and Mindscape versions) as well!
just how many game did it take before indi got a good game.
This came out the same year as Fate of Atlantis did on PC. That's the best Indy game I've played, no question.
@NintendoComplete i kinda forgot about that one. but still sorry you had to endure this stinker.
@jeremydavidson1420 Hahaha, thanks. I dunno why I do this to myself.
In 1985. Atari Games’s arcade game is pretty good
Uhhhg can't you just skip ahead to the LucasArts point and click adventure?
Who do you think is worse: Tiertex or Micronics?
Oh, definitely Micronics. Tiertex occasionally managed something decent. Most of their games weren't broken, and they ran at more than 12 fps.
@ It’s still kind of wild that Tiertex isn’t around anymore. They created lots of computer ports back then.
@@isaacman4157A lot of studios like them seemed to either go bust or get swallowed up by bigger companies in the late 90s.

Also, Tiertex amazingly managed to last all the way until 2021, but they stopped making console and computer games in 2003
nice

❤❤❤👍
At 14:02, you continued. Since you didn’t care anymore and just wanted to be done with this crap as soon as possible.
Yeah, I was not willing to play it long enough to get to where I could do it all on a single credit.
Indy Jones is Better on SNES
Indiana Jones' Greatest Adventures on Super Nintendo is two trillion times better than this.
Indiana Jones for GTX 🤣
Hahaha. Who needs raytracing when you've got blast processing?

Weirdly good music for an otherwise awful game.
Music is amazing 2
When I see this shit game? I always thought of urinatingtree's reviews of this.....twice
a s h i t, just like the other versions
Indiana Jones And The Endless Crusade of Bullshit.
