This is the most deadly model kit in the history of Man. The warnings are funny as Hell.

The finished cockpit looks amazing! I really wish you had shown more of the painting process especially the seat belts and stuff.

got this kit and the Revell 219 - was planning to do the Revell in flight, and ZM all opened up - I guess that would be the right call!! - Agree - not seen it build a lot (a few finished models only for Magazines and one or two on the web)... thanks for doing this - like your SR71 build, I will save as a reference....

This is excellent. You'll have to give us a tour of your blade collection sometime. ;)

I'm building a Zoukei-Mura HS-129 and the only issue are the many access doors...as you've found they sometimes tend not to perfectly fit. I end up sanding them down to as thin as I can get them. I do like that otherwise, their kits fit just fine and the plastic is molded sharply and thinner than most. What I'm most interested with this build is the exterior paint scheme...I'll bet that's why a lot of folks don't share their builds on-line.

This kit broke me. I finally got tired of filing mold parting seams off every part. If you ate opting to close all the open panels invest in some filler and sanding sticks. Lol. Such great oob detail though. Boy those engines. 😍 Looking good so far.

A guy in my model club built this and it is impressive when done.
A number of years ago at the IPMS Nationals, l had a chance to meet and talk (through an interpreter) the president of ZM. I had purchased their Skyraider and asked why they included details that would never be seen. He explained that their goal was not for the modeler to build a model...lots of companies do that. They want the builder to construct a scale down version of the plane.

ZM is definitely in a league of their own. I’ve built a few of their kits and they definitely require patience (a skill I’m still working on) to get the most out of them.

Great idea using the hair dryer. However I know if I did that, the decal would go flying off and would never be seen again… lol

Very nice job on the pit and instrumemt panel👍
    No pilots?
Looking forward to see the rest of the plane. Will become a beauty. Will you give her the smithonian paintscheme?

Nope, those are just some cheaper boot knives that I had when I was a kid. I have a collection of aitor survival knives and some custom and semi custom blades.

I think you should leave the little parts in the bags. Then when you put the bag over your head you will likely choke on the little part as well as suffocate. Make the coroner work for their money!!!
Also like your knife collection - as below a short video on these would be good.

Then the world will mourn another modeler gone to the great beyond. All because they didn’t read the side of the box. And I thought the lacquers would take us modelers out.

Another excellent video. I usually build warships in 1/200 and 1/350 but watching your videos has inspired me to have a go at a 1/48 aircraft. It's the Trumpeter T38c Talon, something simple to start within before going for a Phantom or Tomcat! A question if you don't mind, the Talon colour scheme is a mix of light grey and a darker blue/grey, what colour would you recommend for a panel wash as I've never done one before.

    • @seanerk5kt9
      @seanerk5kt9  2 роки тому +1

It really depends on what kind of look you’re going for. Some guys use a straight black wash which is unrealistic but really brings out the detail. I usually stay away from black though because that’s really not my style. I would experiment with a slightly lighter and slightly darker gray to see what I think looks best. I also don’t always use the same color for all the panel lines. Sometimes I’ll use a brown or really light gray on a few panel lines which I think adds a little more interest. The bottom line is experiment and do what you like as there really is no wrong or right in my opinion.
