- Come decorate with me for Christmas our 12 foot tree! In this video I take you through my steps to decorate a fabulous full beautiful tree for the holidays. Every Christmas I decorate our main family Christmas tree in a different color theme. This year I am using white along with harvest colors to give it a warm and frosty look. We are maximalists and we love full and cozy. I start out showing you how I fluff out my tree to give it a more full look. I add two different size warm LED lights along with a strand of traditional lights. This year I decided to use 3 different ribbons on the tree which I feel gives it a luxious look. I then add pearl beads on the tree for elegance along with the crystal drop ornaments for that beautiful look I want to achieve. We have many loved and cherished ornaments that we have collected over many years. On this tree I always have pinecones which are traditional along with some other religious themed ornaments. Bonjour mon ami. Your tree is absolutely gorgeous. The colors of the bubbles and all the decor are in those jewel tones so warm and rich. You said it so well : " if a person wishes to have a great looking tree, it does take time and effort" I would add to that it takes lots fluffing and to have a theme (plan) for it to become spectacular. Taking THE time to make it all nice, I always say to my friends : " you are creating a piece of art, take your time and each time you are going to look at it, you will be pleased. " Anyway, that being said, you have created a Master Piece with the tree and the ramp that goes up the stairs : Congratulations mon ami 🎄❣

I can't believe it. I thought I was the only one who still had that tree. It is alot of work. And I mean alot of work, but the end result is so worth it. I've had my tree for 28 years now. Everyone still thinks it is a real tree. The whole room is lite with just the tree on. I'am crazy for a well lite tree I probably put over three thousand lights Absolutely beautiful Angela and Jeff. You know, they make these new fangled Christmas trees with hinges and prelit!!! It's been a long time since I have seen a tree you have to assemble. (I am giving you some friendly ribbing, of course!) The tree is nicely lighted -- nothing worse than a dark tree.
Well now I'll have to say Stranger ! You have picked up my thought signal .....I was going to try to get a hold of you to see if you were going to be able to do a home tour this year ? And what a character LOL I have only 3 sentimental trees that are not umbrellas now ...using one this year and only one last year . Dave your kidding about prelit right ? I've had 3 of those die won't buy another ...had to cut off all the dead what a mess ! Have you had that happen yet ??? Anyway your tour is too nice to not film !!!! See ? @@MyTakeOnHomeGarden Jeff -- We alternate years between Christmas and Halloween. It is impossible for us to do both. This year was our Halloween year but we only got about half of our stuff out. Starting in the early summer, we began to have cascading health issues with elderly parents and have had to devote a substantial amount of time to that. So, I was unable to make a Halloween video, although I took some footage of what we did have up right after Halloween, so my plan is to post that next year in early October. While we are not decorating for Christmas, my wife and I were talking getting out our T&V Limoges Holly china and doing a tablescape video featuring that. I am also putting up our 14' main Christmas tree so maybe I will do a video featuring just that. There will likely be no other Christmas put out this year as we still are putting what Halloween we had out away. Needless to say, both 2020 and 2021 have been rough years for us. @@MyTakeOnHomeGarden Yes, I was kidding about prelit. I generally end up adding more lights to the prelit trees or stripping them down and relighting as you mention. And what a chore that is! But now and then you run across a good prelit tree, but they cost an arm and a leg.

Magnificent tree Jeff, bringing back memories as a child in NZ. We had a 10 foot fresh tree in the hallway which glittered and shone and filled the house with the beautiful smell of pine. Mum always decorated on Christmas Eve when we were in bed and asleep. I adored getting up, usually at 5 in the morning, lol, when my parent had probably only been in bed for an hour or two. We would sneak out of our room and be dazzled and enthralled by our beautiful tree and all the decorations on the sealing and mantle in the hall and living room. We could barely get past the tree to get out they were so big. All the gifts would be piled under the tree, it was so exciting. Thanks for the memories of traditions now passed as my kids have made their own traditions here in Australia where summer is Christmas and it’s about outdoors. They still have trees and decorations inside but not the same. Of course it also summer in NZ but not as hot in December as it is in Australia. 🎁❄️🎄🎄🤩🎁🎁

Year ago, when my Grandma was still alive, we would go to her house and help her decorate her tree and put her village up - I looked forward to it every year. Good memories.

We got rid of our 9 ft Christmas ☃️🎄 tree because we are tired of assembling it every year! We have two beautiful faux trees, we used to have real tree's for that fab scent! But we're really busy people! So we got 7,5 ft 🎄 and it has 2,500 light's that TWINKLE 🤩 and most don't twinkle 🤩 these days, from Home Depot! It's really beautiful!

As she got older, I would go all out just for her! She enjoyed looking at everything and finding new things I would add! It was great fun making things beautiful!
