Great rims. I have a few sets of those, I'll have to take a look and see what shape they're in see if I can refinish them and paint like yours. They are very cool and would look great on my red 77 Midget
Those wheels are rare! Here in Canada we saw them appear on 1970 models. The 69 still had pressed steel and chrome hubcaps wire wheels were always an option in Canada but standard I think in the USA. I may be wrong on that however. I like the Rostyles however after a decade of them they look very common and kind of average. A friend had your nice wheels on his orange 1970 Midget....very sharp. They appear in adverts of the day as well.
Hi Mark. Your MG looks great. I am working on one just like it. Would you kindly give me info or a link towards the grill that you purchased. Would love to get the same one. Thanks!!
Thanks Santiago. The listing for the grill i had is no longer listed but they still have a stainless one here www.ebay.co.uk/itm/255307495469?hash=item3b7183382d:g:4bsAAOxyrM5TJ1r2. Maybe worth sending them a message to see if they can still do the black ones
Hi , love the midget, looks great ! I'm doing a similar look in my midget, I'm struggling to find front indicators to fit into the rubber bumper old aperture. Where did you get yours and what are they off ?
@@MarksWheels Great info on those front indicators - they look awesome and very close to the early 70’s style, only they seem to have quite a curved back to them. Can you tell me if you did any bodywork to fill in the original slots for the rubber bumper hangers, or did the JU250 lenses cover the holes completely?
@@MarksWheelsGosh, I can’t see a gap at all! It looks sooo much better than taking the all-orange lenses out of the old rubber bumper and sticking them in kinda sideways in the aperture left by the bumper hangers. Similarly, the early 70’s Midget lenses (the ones that are half orange/half clear) won’t fit over the hole as their backs are pretty much flat. Your JU250 lenses look super as they appear to have pretty much the right curvature. I don’t suppose you have any closeup photos of the fitted lenses so that I can see the “gap”?
Hi, I bought that on eBay but the seller doesn't seem to do those ones anymore. I think maybe because the powder coating wasnt too good and mine has rusted.

Those early Rostyles are the best looking factory wheels for a Midget, in my opinion.
Totally agree. Really please with them
Yep, the 165/70R13s are what I prefer on my Midget too.
The handling is much better in my opinion
How do you get your roof looking so neat when folded? cant seem to get mine looking like that. The wheels are the same as on my 1971 by the way.
There is a way to fold it down by folding the side windows in before folding the material down and it seems to fold much better

Yeah, i definately prefer them. Thanks for watching

Thanks for the comment. I know what you mean about the rostyles being common. It's the same over here

Thanks for your comment. They are off an Austin j van and I got them from ebay
The grill link is not available anymore. Where would I be able to find it?
I have added a link to the other grill they do which is stainless
Hi, thanks for the video, nice to watch. Please can you inform me which type of direction indicators you have used? Looks good.
Thanks for watching. The indicators are off of an Austin j van
Do you know if that grille is available in the USA? Don’t see it available anywhere here. I love it, how much was it?
Not sure. It cost about £80 so not too expensive
Do u know what Austin j van u got the indicators off as I love the look of them
I think it was an Austin ju250.

I haven't done any other bodywork although there is a small gap. I have an idea to make an angled spacer maybe out of fibreglass to fill the gap

Who makes the grill? Would love to order one.

I can't find this grille on ebay anymore, any chance someone is still making one? Thanks
The same guy I bought yheis one from is still selling a stainless one. Not sure why he doesn't do the black on anymore
Where did you get the grill? Looks great
Thanks. It was on ebay. There was a choice of with or without the badge but I had to go with
@@MarksWheels do you have the sellers info? I’ve searched and was unable to find it. Looks amazing and I agree the emblem looks the best

@@MarksWheels Thanks so much! Ordered one!
Can you just clarify what size tyres you went for? 165/65r13 or 165/70r13? The screen says something different to what you say lol
Making it uglier and uglier good job
Especially those hidious seats awesome
Lol thanks for watching Ronnie
