This video helped me alot. Had the same sort of malfunction. Wires were shorted due to water exposure and were corroded apart. Striped the wires and bound them together with a wago connector. To prevent this from happening again í used some gasket silicone to seal the fromt opening behind the front lights.

*Outstanding Apollo Info!!!* I love mine very much. Its classy all the way! I do have a quick question. Not much help with support yet but my Apollo Go 2024 wont turn off. When I turn it off it turns back on in a few seconds. Only way I can turn it off is by leaving charger plugged in all the time and that is not good for the battery. I reached out to support but no help yet. I cant afford to send in for repair warranty as shipping to and from will be well over $140 plus weeks without my scooter. And no local repairs where Iam at. I am very handy at fixing scooters and have reviewed all the great Apollo Go repair tutorials on Apollo channel. Please any help to get my Apollo to stay turned of would be awesome and I can repair it. Thanks!🙂🙂🙂

This scooter should not cost 1500$ USD. Absolutely overvalued. Mediocre range and terrible water resistance

Thanks for this video JP. The scooter is advertised with a IP54 waterprooing rating. That does not look like IP54 to me.
I'll still pick up and explore but will assume non-waterproof without home mods.
I imagine that copper wire corroded so easily due to water exposure and the aluminum housing - though someone may be able to correct me on that.
Donn't bother trynna solder it back into the socket - just cut the other wire on the other side of the socket and use a electrical criimp (Or some electrical tape) to join the bare wire ends - make sure no bare wire can short out on the scooter case/house/body

The spark is coming from the capacitors in the controller. It is normal for a spark, but should be prevented. Anytime you have a spark, you could cause damage. For example, a friends truck is stuck in the mud. You could hook a chain up and pull the truck out. 1- is to have 10ft of slack and accelerate and try to jerk the truck out. Its very violent but it could work. 2- you could pull slowly and accomplish the same thing without damaging tge truck. The fix is to charge the cap with a 100ohm resistor. This would charge the caps slowly over time. Then you could make your connection with no spark. Hope this helps.

The connection with the T60 yellow connectors male and female do make that spark it's a safety mechanism even though it Sparks it doesn't hurt anything that is normal

Thanks for the video, man. To be honest, Apollo is really not being honest with it's buyers. The information they disclosed isn't completely true. Especially info on range, IP rating and type of material used for the body.

I am having similar issues. My question is what needs to be removed to access the battery area?

Hey JP Turibio Miguel I Just Ran Across Your Video. I'm Just Curious, What Was the Fuse Gauge (#) That Was Being Used on Your Scooter. And I Really Liked This Video, I Never had any Issues With Water getting into My Scooter. I Have an Apollo Ghost And the Insulation Looks Kind Of Good. But I Still Try to Avoid going Through Puddles. I Also Put a little Extra Sealant Around the Areas Where the Wires Come Out. But This Could Happened to Anybody. Just Glad that You Was Able to Fix The Problem. Once again a Good Video. 👍🏾🙂🛴🛴🛴✌🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
