Maybe instead of this device you could rig a toilet to clean itself with a series of ropes and pulleys tied to a ring of electric brushes that lowers down from the ceiling

Not the toilet, just the brush.
It is the device that stops working without the tablet not the toilet.
The device is plumbed into the main water intake feed. Their philosophy is for the intake to stop working when the tablet runs out because without the tablet the toilet would be deemed as unsanitary.
Still, it's greedy and non-consumer friendly and was the point at which they lost my support.
Shame on them for designing it not to work without tablets.

It might work most of the time, but not all the time, which means you still need to keep a toilet brush on hand, thereby defeating the purpose of the product which was to get rid of the toilet brush.
It's also so complex
But if installed in a public building, most of the time is perfect and would do the job until the on duty janitor gets around to the toilet in their rounds

This way, you can spray atomized faeces all over your bathroom and adjoining rooms/hallways.
If you have a bidet you can use the attachment in the same way. Only difference is that the normal bidet unit has no facility for a tablet.
I think they came up with this idea when trying to piss skids of the toilet pan 😂

In the Middle East every toilet has one of the these. It is called shatafa شطافه، you use it to clean your arse. Plus the inside of the toilet.
Let me get this right, you urgently need the loo but it wont flush because someone forgot to change the tablet? What are they going todo next? Lock the toilet roll in a box with a combination lock that you have to call a premium rate number to get the combination... Your call is important to us, you are 29th in line for the loo roll

I like this product. Hate toilet brushes. I always want to buy a new one after the first use.
But this is not one thing or the other. Back wash / or splatter. Yes, it may not be as " gross" as a brush...but it may not be as effective. And then you have to pay for an on going tablet.
You can rearrange the letters of DRAGONS DEN IRELAND to spell GRANDER DANDELIONS, and I think that would be a better title.
