Assam Minister vows to solve water crisis at Haflong
In order to solve the water crisis at Haflong, Ashok Singhal, Minister of Housing & Urban Affairs and Irrigation, Government of Assam along with Chief Executive Member Debolal Gorlosa visited water sources far away from Haflong on Wednesday.

Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) remains a pipe dream...!!
JJM program's goals, including providing functional household tap connections to all rural households and public institutions by 2024. It also mentions the program's other objectives, such as monitoring the functionality of tap connections and promoting voluntary ownership of water supply systems. It also mentions the program's key components, such as information, education, and communication. But.. what a unfortunate to the people of Umrangso, specially New Tumbung villager where 90% of area sorrounded by water of Umrangso resorvior and a big project of so called JJM was also established in this village. Even though, we have no water to drink😢😢😢😢
