I was lucky enough to take the same route as you. I got my private and commercial for free. Flew 500E and D, 530F, and about 400 hrs in a Bell 407. I even had a little time in a HH1H. Retired with 20 years, 14 of which were flying. I flew in the same type of terrain that you did in this video and with some mountains also. Watching your video brought back some good memories. I haven't touched a cyclic or a collective in 5 years. You made me miss it. Great video thanks for making it.
Hey Brad, great video. I grew up flying E models with my dad out of Palomar Airport in Carlsbad CA. Flown all over West Coast also in the sierra mountains and Arizona . He also owned a 600 for a while.. .Dad was a helicopter pilot in Vietnam and flew Hueys and the OH-6 . Keep the videos coming.! Thanks for sharing !🚁😎

Oh yeah, more good advice, all roads have wires, and if you ever have to reduce power because of low visibility you need to do a 180 or land unit wx gets better. I was an Army IP for 8 years and a medivac pilot for 3 years. No accidents by the way!

Army is the best training, you need to give yourself some room in case your engine fails, you won’t survive low level along those unforgiving ravines. Add a thousand feet for your family.

Because the sound is just horrible with the win of the helicopter 🚁 which I love MD530F’s and would love to fly one myself, what you need to do to try to get more viewers is to watch videos from Trent Palmer and Becki and Chris because they both give out great advice on the how to get your sound and video to the level of theirs. Please do what you can to make the sound better on this video even if you have to dub over it with just you talking in a quiet room. Because I can barely hear what you’re saying on most of this video. Please please please fix it ASAP for your next video if not this one. Pilot Yellow is not really putting out any new videos this days , but most all of his videos were very good as well. Good luck and thanks.
So, you're saying that you did not get hired as a pilot to start. My understanding is that you are a cop (grunt work) before getting the opportunity to go through school to be a pilot. It is the same for all law enforcement pilot jobs.
