“This move needs no introduction”
Proceeds to introduce said move
🙃
Dark types when they have a move for every specific situation but no actual move they can just click (dark pulse is the only one getting close but it's still 10BP lower than standard and phys dark types>special usually) (also Urshifu flexing on the haters)
For the record I love that they're like this. They're the type that's supposed to play dirty si they have a lot of moves hat break the rules of the game but struggle to play within them
So real
I like how you said dark is weak to specifically u-turn and not bug because bug is practically useless lol
lmao this is true
What's cool about u turn is that many mons other than bugs can use it 😊
Your right because a 1/3 of the Pokemon in this thumbnail are dark types that take neutral damage to bug☠️☠️☠️
@@prestonangel448 shhhhh
Dark pulse is only 20% flinch yeah?
My fault king you are right
@@oceanic_gamer I only remember that because literally like 4 days ago I saw that it was 20 and not 30 and was shocked
@@bosniagaming2708 well you learn something new everyday
Dark type being designed simply to be immune to Psychic type hurt it more than anything. When it game out: all dark types were Special attacks, including stuff that was meant to be physical. The only reason psychic typing was "broken" was because Mewtwo and Alakazam had broken base stats, because Psychic was only offensively strong again 2 types. From Gen 2 Fighting was offensively strong against FIVE types, while only being weak to two. For the first few generations, Dark type was gimmicky and Normal was actually more busted than Psychic was (as in every dark type move had bad damage, and was situational; at least Normal type moves like Body Slam, Facade, Return, etc. had a point, more Normals around to STAB from them and damage was still solid even if that Normal moves gimmick didn't stick. Most Dark type pokemon in the early gens, Sans Houndoom, Umbreon, and Absol, have little going for them other than a type immunity? Normal, Ghost, Flying, and Ground have immunites that come packaged with their abilities already. Dark's immunity to psychic feels, tacked on, and having a "counter" to one type makes it more of a forced burden on a party like an HM mule than a party member.
now i need two hearing aids yippee. rip my ears
Four*
nothing couldve prepared me for the sheer volume of that explosion
putting that much of a volume must be a dark type move itself
@@skoopmc9119 erm I had two warnings 🤓
@@oceanic_gamer 🤓☝️
Honestly dark type always felt pretty overpowered. Like it just seemed like one of the few single stand you could just settle for and be fine.
Literally no immunities (not even with an ability), not very many resistances (unlike with bug and grass, the later having an ability immunity anyways), a bunch of completely non comical moves that are plenty strong.
tbf justified did get realized which was an attemot
bro tf was that explosion, my ears are hurting
I gave you two warnings 🤷♂️

Good job!
Thank you man 🙏
Me when dark types don't have any move that is consistently above 80 base power that isn't foul play

There was Darkest Larait last gen but they removed the TM and movepool in S/V
@@goGothitaLOL I mean that move is basically a signature move
WHY DIDNT YOU JUST LOWER THE VOLUME OF THE EXPLOSION

Great video, I recommend working on your pacing and annunciation (just some constructive criticism 😊)
great video!
Don't be afraid to make mistakes.
just keep going, be confident, what other people think don't matter to you since it's not their video unless it's positive feedback that would help you improve.
keep up the good work
@@divilant3301 thank you man I appreciate it
singles movesets feels so wierd to me, having entry hazards being not awful and absolutely no protect on anything, it really just feels wrong tbh
edit: i play vgc please dont bully me, and i do understand why both of these things are the case, but my point still stands

Then just unwatch it 🤑👍
@@DisbinguishedYT real!
thanks for this video! to summarize what I understood, dark types are not inherently strong, nor do they have 1 busted thing, but they're gifted with a lot of different stuff which adds up to make this type really strong. It makes me feel like normal type in gen 1 : few interactions with other types, strong stab options, a lot of pokemon with great stats, body slam paralysis immunity, whereas other 'broken' stuff are 'broken" only because of a few things : dragon types in gen 5 only have 1 resistance, a VERY strong attack (draco meteor), a very strong mon (latias, who was further boosted by its signature item)
you got it man!
