I fly in VR and I have such an amazing time. I feel very privileged as I know so many people don't understand MSFS and VR but of course, they haven't tried it, this is of course the next level!...👏

how about in the correct places, I see a lot of ATC that are in the most random spots in the world possible.
Literally they wouldn't spawn into airports that needs more management, they would only spawn into places with only one plane flying into the airspace for the entire day.

Yes they have a MTL library :) when you install their pilot client called ‚altitude‘ you get asked to install their x-csl for Microsoft Flight Simulator :)

It is available cross-platform (Prepar3D, X-Plane and Microsoft Flight Simulator). You are able to see all traffic, no matter which simulator they are using :)

Except the fact that the servers, when they did not crash, lag so much you definitely can’t fly in formation, and you need special permission to be in the SO (at least in France) to fly rescue helicopters. Also in France you can follow real world procedures but with totally arbitrary airspace sectorisation :(

@Charging Curve you shouldnt get banned for that you should only be disconnected by a supervisor and vpilot or xpilot should automatically disconnect you

@Charging Curve well text was probably Unicom then which is an active frequency. You don't do such Things there
@@jz_photography Quite. Using Unicom as a chat room is a good way to get walloped (or even banned) on VATSIM.
Why does the voice over sound like text to speech?
I don’t know but it’s a real voice recording from one of the staff members at ivao :)
@@Aviationlads No Front but the Audio mixing is not really good, the video is master class but the Audio is just a lil off point
@@brrt thanks appreciate also your constructive feedback. I do agree, but we wanted the voice over to be recorded by a real staff member of IVAO not just someone from fiver to create an authentic movie. Audio quality from the voice over could have been better and so also the mixing, e.g. like we did for the MS Partnership Series :)
Silly question time, but can XBOX users still have the same fun using this product, It looks incredible based on the production of this clip.... fingers crossed you can and ill be joining
Xbox users will most likely never get IVAO or vatsim as the player base there is mainly (not saying you) just connecting up and messing around which ruins the experience

How is this different from VATSIM?
Simple answer: Vatsim is more realistic.
It's not more realistic it's the fact that on vatsim you have to pass a smal test and if you passed that you can fly. That means on vatsim are only persons that know what they doing. Controlers have to make a at least 1/2 year schooling to get to the state that they can control on an airport. If you make mistakes you do not get shouted at by a 13 year old kid that means that it is something better than you. Exceft you get humanity and help to make the best out of it and give you the best experience!
(All of the things listed above are from own expirience on both networks) Ivao:about 150h / vatsim:700h

IVAO has existed in parallel to VATSIM for years. Same with Pilot Edge. Fact of the matter is, VATSIM often just has a larger active community, stable servers and better coverage in key hotspots. IVAO is making great strides to compete however, with roughly 500 users online any time, and new innovation on their pilot clients / external apps and resources, it truly stands a chance at being something worth joining, esp since Vatsim and vPILOT have stagnated for years.

@@r4microds What do you mean stagnated? The network has flourished under covid restrictions and has gained even more momentum by introducing AFV a few years ago, partnering with MSFS and the soonTM to release Velocity. Our many controller clients are still getting updates and plugins and software are still being created.

If you like to fly in the US, I’d recommend joining VATSIM instead because of the amount of controllers available.

@@argduck It's basically the same but a different network and community. I haven't tried VATSIM yet so can't really compare the little differences. Both are free so you can't make a big fail :)

I'm a newbie. I opened ivao website and totally got lost. Lots of info, no idea where to go first. Found documentation section and it appears it requires login to download any info. Welllll... Next time. I'm out.
Where are the aircrafts to fly on IVAO???? Are you talking of those GTA jets? Gaming for kids...
IVAO is available on Prepar3D, X-Plane and Microsoft Flight Simulator. 2 of these 3 flight simulators already have super detailed aircrafts, the 3rd sim will follow soon :)

Ivao is utter shit, please just fly on vatsim if you want a genuinly realistic experience.
You sound like a guy with that language that you don't even have account on IVAO and that you have never flown on it. I do fly on both networks and there are positive and negative sides on both networks, for example I found staff on IVAO to be much friendlier than VATSIM. On VATSIM if I want to fly in US and want to have ATC certainly I would fly, the list goes on and on. In terms of ATC experience both networks I can easily say that they are on same level, but it depends heavily on region! For my region we have few RL ATC on IVAO and they learned me some more things related to aviation. Still in my region on VATSIM they do fantastic job on controling and while I am mainly controlling on IVAO I would use VATSIM to control in Emairates vACC or other big vACC that would like to know how do they operate. Still you simply can't compare someone who has a job of an ATC IRL and gets payed to feed his family to someone who is just doing ATC on network for having fun and to keep his enthusiasm alive to teach you how to do ATC. It's a same thing if you for example are passionate for architecture and told to someone who has MD in architecture that he is doing something wrong on some project lets say, obviously you would be wrong not him! Maybe in your region its different situation idk, but to be that toxic in such a small community on the internet it's a shameful in my opinion. As a community we need to be respectful to each other because we do such a beautiful passion that we love and will love for years to come. I wish still today that IVAO and VATSIM didn't separeted. Maybe some day things will change and I really hope it would. Until then hope you learned something today and God bless you my friend!

So basically IVAO was founded in 1998 and VATSIM in 2001 :) But I agree on the fancy GUI.
well except the fact that you cant go beyond 24000 without ap problems,or that most of the addons are a joke ,or that asobo made an incomplete product with alot of potential...

Not really a fan. Volanta does this basically. Vatsim does this. What is NEW? Seems like recycled ideas put together....
From all these programs IVAO was the first that launched (back in 1998). Volanta is super cool but this is a completely different tool. IVAO is an online Network with thousands of people in the community.
@@Aviationlads I welcome the competition with VATSIM as it will only compell both networks to continue to innovate. However, it seems like IVAO has some catching up to do. VATSIM users are really looking for a realistic ATC experience and it sounds like there's less rigidity to the ATC training and pilot expectations on the IVAO network. And that very well could be the intent of IVAO. But if IVAO is trying to reach the same audience as VATSIM, this will need to improve.

I haven’t tasted Vatsim so I am not able to compare both but competition is always good and helps to improve the products which reflects in better tools for us, the community :)
