Perhaps, that is why no Muslim scholar wants to visit the Hejaz (Mecca and Medina regions) of the 7th century A.D. for fear that he may not see a (single) trace of his prophet, his holy book, and his city. There are only four true Gospels. And they differ very little. The reason there are some small differences is because they are written by different eye witnesses. One guy saw this - another guy saw other details. However, the overall narrative is the same.

The Quran declares that the Torah and the Gospel of Jesus were revealed by Allah:
Surah 3:3-4 - _“he has revealed to you the book with truth verifying that which is before it and he revealed the Torah and the gospel aforetime a guidance for the people”_
And yet, Muslims say that the Torah and the Gospel of Jesus have been corrupted, and yet the Quran says that Allah's words cannot be corrupted:
Surah 18:27 - _“and recite what has been revealed to you of the book of your Lord there is none who can change his words and you shall not find any Refuge besides him”_
Surah 5:47 - _“let the people of the Gospel judge by what Allah hath revealed therein if any do fail to judge by the light of what Allah hath revealed they are no better than those who Rebel”_
Why does Allah command us to judge by a corrupt book? The only Gospel we have contradicts Islam, so in order to obey Allah's command we would have to judge by the Gospel and conclude that Islam is false.

During the time surrounding Muhammad I believe a case can be made that MHMD on the coin is simply announcing the Caliph's authority. Similar to the title Caesar but better. It would be the only way to respond to the Christian polemic of "They are all defying Caesar’s decrees, saying that there is another king, one called Jesus.” Acts 17:7
Caesar could only claim to be the son of divine heavenly origin whereas a Caliph would respond by claiming he is not divine but actually is the final prophet and MHMD here on Earth.
If anyone defies a decree saying "there is another king in Heaven", a Caliph would remind such a person, "I'm his prophet, the MHMD who speaks for the ruler of Heaven here on Earth. Can you not read that on the coin I made?"

These are clear indications of the eternal nature of the Godhead.
Christ, as the Alpha and Omega, is the first and last in so many ways. He is the “author and finisher” of our faith (Hebrews 12:2), signifying that He begins it and carries it through to completion. He is the totality, the sum and substance of the Scriptures, both of the Law and of the Gospel (John 1:1, 14). He is the fulfilling end of the Law (Matthew 5:17), and He is the beginning subject matter of the gospel of grace through faith, not of works (Ephesians 2:8-9). He is found in the first verse of Genesis and in the last verse of Revelation. He is the first and last, the all in all of salvation, from the justification before God to the final sanctification of His people.
Jesus is the Alpha and Omega, the first and last, the beginning and the end. Only God incarnate could make such a statement. Only Jesus Christ is God incarnate.

So the Arabs later wanted to Arabized the movement and make it as a competing ideology against Judaism and Christianity!
