Then Notre Dame perfected the forward pass, which created a more dynamic experience for the spectator, and made the game slightly safer for the students. I dont count Michigan's record vs Notre Dame prior to the rulebook pass, so Michigan only has about 17 wins in the series compared to 15 for USC across the same numerical number of recent matchups. 17-16-1
