A simpler, but good version of a familiar storyline with some good changes in scenarios. Attractive Ml and Fl with good chemistry. I liked how the Ml and Fl gradually grew to love and adjust to each other. I loved the relationship between the Ml and his sister and how the sister immediately liked the Fl and her GM. The Fl's ex took her for granted for years and deserved losing her to a better man who loved her. Good watch with a good ending.
I liked the story, though I have seen better versions of this one where ML is secretly in love with the FL who is in relationship with a scumbag. The ML/FL were good looking, easy on the eye folks. So it was easy to watch. MLs character very supportive and nice I found the FLs less admirable as she had a tendency to do something first and think about the pitfalls later And i am not too fond of stupidities like why the FL had that red thing on her eyes during that drugged encounter... she was definitely not incapacitated that she can't remove it... and obviously she did not get drugged of her own free will. Similarly when in the end she got duped by her sister she already knew how bad her sister was... then not even informing the ML about where she was rushing off was pretty low IQ And also showed she didn't think about him during important events in her life. 😞 And in these secret love dramas absolutely zero skinship like this drama is a great downer. Also i do not like sooo many evil cretins doing bad things ( fls mother, sister, jerk Ex, his brother 😮) i rather like the slowburn romance with the FL slowly falling in love with an already besotted ML.
i think i saw a version of this with Wang Haozhen, I don''t know the name of the FL in his version but it was the first one I remember of this plot... Or was it Li Boyan? I just remember the scarf thing so its either of the two coz i know i was binge watching their dramas last week. If i got it wrong, oops! sorry! but I do know I have seen the plotline before.
