The architectural languages picks up a lot of influences from Singapore and Malaysia but also elements of wider south East Asian architecture in particular Thailand and Vietnam
@@SimLicy yeah there is a heavy influence of the peranakan and colonial influences in the row houses. A lot of the build objects are very common in pre war residential architecture in Singapore and Malaysia especially the archways, doors, tiles, windows and columns which were adapted by the peranakan communities
Beautiful! 💕 I'm not sure about other Southeast Asian countries, but here in the Philippines, it can get hot and humid. That's why having an outdoor kitchen, also called 'dirty' kitchen is a must. It provides better ventilation and keeps smoke and odors away from the main house. Some houses have both an indoor kitchen for meal preps and light cooking, and an outdoor or 'dirty' kitchen for heavy cooking 😄
As a Thai person. I love love ❤️ this build. Remind me a lot of Thai old style build. Especially famous Thai drama called “Love Destiny” This style of build in Thailand is rare and hard to find. Thank you. Beautiful build. 🎉
I'm a Filipino and a fan of Love Destiny 1 and 2. It also reminded me of the old style house from the series. There are still houses like this in the Philippines especially in the provinces. So happy that Sims 4 is giving us Southeast Asian representation. ❤ ❤ ❤
didn’t know how badly i needed an SEA pack until i saw this kampung house being built!! would always visit my grandmother back in her village in north malaysia and this makes me feel sooo close to her! love the build!
i love that this pack is southeast asian inspired it has been so fun seeing so many of my favourite youtubers build in the style!!!!!!! this one might be my favourite so far ^_^
Would like to see grungy style apartment once you have full access of the For Rent expansion especially with the worn out utility items we’re gonna get with this expansion.
in my grandparents' village homes in Sarawak (East Malaysia), we typically put a pail of water next to the toilet. but I still love your idea of putting a plant next to it XD
It's a squat toilet, pretty common in Asian countries, I would say (including Japan). I am from Indonesia and, while seat toilets have been more widely installed and used, squat toilets can still be found pretty easily (some shopping malls/public spaces even have both toilets in their restrooms).
I am actually disappointed with this pack. It feel a little repetitive to me and I was looking forward to see something European or American. I get the features are amazing and usable and great but I am not a massive fan of Asian furniture for example. I loved Mount Komorebi because it was fresh and new and although it is different, it is on some elements close to this one. It feels like they put this and City Living in one pack. You may not agree on this but I would have rather seen something completely else. Maybe Australia, Russia or Germany or something.

Thank you! That’s very helpful for me, I was thinking it was a general mash up of different styles across Southeast Asia but I was sure. ☺️

I can't wait for your apartments! Especially when you have all the packs ❤

I LOVE the outdoor kitchen idea! I can hear your excitement about the pack in your voice, too!
Thanks for this Dawn! I'm singaporean and i feel so touched seeing a SEA inspired build from you
If Simlicy wasn’t building anymore I wouldn’t be purchasing this pack- or any packs, really. Her builds are all I use in my saves.

Gosh, she's just so good!
this reminds me a lot of traditional filipino houses :))
This build is so pretty! I'm so glad we can use whatever doors we want for apartment/unit doors.
This turned out amazing and got me back into the mood of building so quick!
love your tropical builds stoked to see more
Really hope they fix that Vanity!! Your are the third simmer who has mentioned it!!
Love your builds and the music you always add, makes me feel connected to the builds and makes me want to start building more.
From Thailand, your build is stunningly beautiful and authentic.
Absolutely gorgeous. Didn’t really like build/buy until I saw what you did with it. Bravo!

Lol. I’ll have to do the pail idea too 😊
Your builds are always stunning!! 😍
Yay!!, your build and videos are always so good!
Yay, thank you!
Ohhhh 😂 I saw the heaters, Thailand is hot as hell, we don't need heater 🤣
Omg this is gorgeous! Really reminds me of the houses in the kampung (village). So excited for this pack
Hope you and your family are doing well 🤎
This build is amazing and I cannot wait to see your next build 😊 I love any animal especially cat species ❤
One of the first things I’m going to do with this pack is to edit your Windenburg Townhouses that I downloaded in my game. ❤
Yas! They will be perfect for the new feature!
Reminds me of my home villages back in North Malaysia and Southern Thailand :)
Just a heads up, teapots don't go on the stove... it would ruin the enamel or whatever they're made out of lol.
But cute on the stove 😊
Your builds are always amazing! I was wondering if you could build more large homes in the pinnacles area of Del sol valley?
The build items look nice but you only see these style of houses in either the rural areas or those gigantic resorts for tourists of Vietnam.
What is the name of the song when there are screenshots?
What’s that strange toilet in the bathroom? Is it a urinal?
Its a squat toilet 😊

Girl, I love your channel. But I can hardly support my own self not to mention somebody else lol.
