Designed for close tank-infantry cooperation with M1 Abrams tanks, the M2 Bradley infantry fighting vehicle (IFV) and the closely related M3 Bradley Cavalry Fighting Vehicle (CFV) provide the infantry side of the team. While they may look superficially like tanks, they are not light tanks. They are the successor to the M113 (armored personnel carrier), but are different: the M113 was a "battle taxi" intending to take troops to the edge of the battlefield, while the M2/M3 go onto the battlefield.
@zenoparodie It's about the second War with Iraq. "This time we're here to finish a job, Started a decade ago" "Killers in the east" "Making it's way through the sand, Our panzer battalion is back for revenge." Panzer is the German word for Tank and Sabaton are from that part of the world. (I think it's Switzerland they're from. I can't quite remember) Plus, Panzer is just a much cooler word ;) Hope that helps.
He means that the term, "panzer" is not inaccurate. In fact, though some may not like it, it conjures up images of valiant armored battle and victory (regardless of which side it involves). Given the nature of Sabaton's military-themed music, it's the only term that really works there.
I am afraid, there are many sabaton videos going down because of orchestra rights. i hope this video doesnt get shut down because i cant listen to 7734 and iron hearts on youtube any more
Panzer generally means TANK....This song is about the second gulf war. I think that war was fought on a lie and was unjust but the song is just awesome.
They'd get destroyed as soon as they were spotted by air recon... Think, the enemy will end up throwing everything at them. I'd give them a minute for each tank once in battle.
And unless you got a direct hit it wouldn't matter the Abrams can shrug off most weapons and remember they will be maneuvering too think in terms of WW2 weapons a panzerfaust will probably fail to penetrate a panzershreck possibly the same most WW2 tanks would get spotted first so if the Abrams played ambush it might work ( In world of tanks my panzer 3 can hold its own against more powerful tier 5s) it's how you use your tank
Nah! Big stronk 152mm russian smoothbore tank cannon, Relikt ERA, more than enough firepower to chew up and eat capitalist dog abrams and leopard tanks for sovjet breakfeast!

General: would kindly explain why you drove a tank into the Insurgents base Tank operator: because fuck walls I'm in a tank General: well said carry on soldier
The flash at 1:47 reads "Warning: Nothing to outpu bframe decoder lag." And no, there are no misspellings. That's genuinely what it reads letter-for-letter.
@gamelishco its about the 7th Panzer Division nicknamed "The Ghost Division" because they where moving really fast and no one known they're exact location....not even Romel !
@StormchaserKnight Its very fitting too, because not only are most modern tanks, including the American ones, based in part on that of the German's WW2 tanks? But the American armored divisions also HEAVILY base their tactics on those of Erwin Rommel, right down to the point of putting his picture inside the cockpit of many US armored vehicles.
It's about Iraq ! "Under this sun" = Desert, like in... Germany ? France ? Oh, no, IRAQ. "started a decade ago", 1st Gulf War = 91, 2nd = 2003, twelve years, almost ten. "Killers in the east", like in "Middle East", "SAM" didn't exist during WW2, Nazis didn't have "Napalm", "Ready for the storm" maybe a reference to Desert Storm ?... The term "Panzer" is just for poetry, you know. And everybody stop telling the meaning of the song doesn't matter : IT DOES.
That's the writer's fault. The song's actually about Gulf War 2. "This time we're here to finish a job started a decade ago", plus all the lines about deserts, sun, etc. Hence the gulf war footage.
@LordMooDF The size of Texas? How big do you think Germany and Japan are? Do you think that WWII veterens are not Heroes because those countries are smaller than Texas?
true there are references but this is still primarily about tanks. plus i think this is one of those throw away songs i heard a version by sabaton that was called amphibious battalion and it was about the swedish marines in chad. it was essentialy the same song just the lyrics were changed a bit.
@StormchaserKnight Sabaton is from Sweden. Just like its nordic neigbours (and Germany) "Panser" is used like the german world "Panzer" (Eng: Armor). I agree that this have to be about Iraq, and it is a he** of a motivational song for us in the Armoured units today.
Several misconceptions: Tiger was invincible. No. At close range or from flank, the Tiger was as vulnerable as a T-34, especially after the T34 received an armament upgrade to 85mm. The radio issue was sorted out by 1944. Especially in elite units like Guards, which possessed plenty of 122, 152, and 100mm guns to hunt Tigers with. @Saksikoipi that would be a howitzer (unless that was the name of a certain type of that vehicle) it's primary job is to take down buildings and other artillery jobs its not really meant for battles

that accounts might be true but most of the time the Soviets used the t-36 is masses against the tigers which where still useless against the tigers. i would agree with you but Germany had a very famous group the Panzer Elite. They where battle hardened troops who where used a lot of armored vehicles from the eastern front and if you where a German soldier that got out of the eastern front mainly Stalingrad back then you would get an Iron Cross just ,because you got out of that hell on Earth , but when the where sent to France they really gust owned any group that they faced in short there Elite Tank Crew member's who all had Iron Cross's.
