    Not good enough, etc., as you talk about here was instilled in me by my mother and maternal grandmother. When I rebelled at this, they would say, "You're just like your father". So I went to live with my father, who was supportive. Now, at 73, I still fight with pricing issues. Some of this is because my BA is in Biblical Studies (which stresses service and "freely you have received, freely give"), but a lot is still the residual effect of my mother's attitude that I had delusions of grandeur. I know this, however, and I still fight with myself over pricing.

    Jeez Animoto, I have no idea what you do or what products you make but I subscribed simply based on this video... you must be reputable if someone like this thinks you are... 👏
    I'll research your product, clearly I'm going to need it in the next few months.

    It's true that the energy of your business comes through you to your staff. Also, owners tend to hire people who are like them, as with the rude people in the coffee shop you mentioned. If the owner resembles the North end of a South-bound mule, his or her employees will be the same type of people.

    I am so impressed! I have seen her name many times at Creative Live and finally looked her up. My background is in marketing and fashion. And she has organized it quite simply and straight to the point. I have just become a fan!

    I’m not sure how you could have been a photographer for 28 years, when you don’t look like you’re more than 29. You are simply beautiful.

    This was gold! Really inspired to make a shift in marketing to Wise Woman rather than Girl Power customer. Sue is so right about who has more money for the luxury product that is professional portrait photography, the Wise Woman clients have paid me in full up front before they've even seen a proof gallery because she loved her experience so much. The Wise Woman appreciates high end retouching and the experience of being seen and heard.

    Awesome Sue Bryce. You speak from the conviction of your heart! You know what you are talking about. One of the best marketing talks I have heard in a long time. I am a registered member of your website and follow what you teach in your field. I am a photographer for 30 years and I am constantly learning from you. (y)

    Usually these kinds of things are all talk without any meat on the bone, but this is extremely substantial -- and quite good. And not a slow, dragged-out delivery but at a good clip. I liked it and got good ideas from it.

    Oh my goodness! #44 is speaking to me so loud and clear right now. Observe your feelings and emotions. My biggest blocks are money and fear and I think that it's because I am looking outside myself and looking to others for validation. I'm not receiving it in spades, so instead I am listening to myself, the lies that I'm no longer going to believe ... I AM good enough. The core of my being is to make women feel good about themselves. I know this. I am constantly affirming other women ... telling them they're so beautiful. I see their beauty. I think that's why I love to capture their beauty so much and freeze it for a lifetime and longer in portraits. I love this. But yet, I am standing in my own way. I am my own worst critic. This revelation is making me so emotional right now. This video is exactly what i needed. I need to just step into MY PURPOSE. My purpose is to empower women through portraiture. I was designed to do this. Oh my goodness! Thanks so much Sue!

    The way servers in a restaurant, or employees in any other business, reflect the personality of the owner and manager. The owner hires the manager. They tend to hire people who are like them. This is the antithesis of opposites attract, but it's true. If the owner closely resembles the North end of a South-bound mule so will his or her employees.

      Konrad Mroczek go onto Sue Bryce's website and check out her studio tours. She profiles a photographer called Lena bray. There is a market for it, but we don't see UK togs market themselves or appear on Creative Live like Sue!

      Konrad Mroczek there are other togs in this arena. I don't know lots because I haven't looked for lots. Are you a portrait photographer?

    • @konradmroczek2496
      @konradmroczek2496 5 років тому

      @@kizzyjem There is no market for luxury Sue Bryce style/family/generational photography in the UK like there is in the US/Australia. I'm talking about people regularly going to see the photographer every couple of years. Profitable, big album sales. It doesn't exist. It is also easy to check. Just ask Your relatives and friends when was the last time they were photographed by a pro and how many albums they bought. I've lived in London for more than 10 years and spoken to many people regarding their photography purchases. UK has got such a different photography market if You compare it to the US/Australia.

    I guess I should have realized that I should be listening to female marketers and business people because I'm definitely more like her description of herself than her description of a male.
    I mean, the writing is on the wall - I've always been more focused on service than sales, became a grade school teacher, always trying to save lost cause people and animals, and prefer tea parties to pub crawls 🤣
