To be precise in the first game, that atari you were scared for didn't 100% work. If white did the whole throw in sequence, then after b3 you could atari f5 and then throw in d5 for a squeeze-ladder things. They can't make a ko for lack of threats. The better plan is white playing g5 just before the race which is annoying enough that black would want to tenuki the initial atari on two stones anyway. So it worked like you said but maybe not ow you said :p
Sometimes when your opponents see how many wins you have they just screw around in the game because they know you're either a very high player or an AI, and either way they're not going to win anyway. I think you just got a whole string of them today.
(5:07) Wg2-Bf1-Wd1-Bc1-Wh1-Bd1... Now if White stretches at B3, Black can atari at f5, then throw in at d5 and White is short on liberties. So, you can connect if they play the g2 atari, right?

I just can't comprehend how this works. Ryan effortlessly obliterates fox 5dans with the most obvious looking moves ever and here I am struggling to reach 1kyu on OGS
@@Stabichan Also consistently choosing the correct direction makes up for a multitude of sins. A perfectly read sequence going the wrong way is perfectly wrong.
And there I tought a 5D could read 2-3 moves ahead... But it seems those guys didn't read at all, they kind of tried to... bluff their ways out? So to speak. A bit disappointing.
Love these, wish you could post even more!
I'm missing this series 😭
idk why, but at 28:50 "Did i just ladder this stone?....Huh...." was so funny

He makes everything look so easy.
i'm confident than picking the right joseki with global board thinking makes it easier. The thing is us peasants, we don't do that
