These few ridiculous taxes were a ruse by the government, proposed with the full expectation that Kenyans would roundly reject them, and the government would then quickly reverse them and claim to be “listening” to the people. Meanwhile, they hope that nobody will be paying attention to the bigger and more insidious aspects of the bill e.g. massive budgeted corruption and other unconstitutional elements of it. Reduce mpigs salaries, and allowances. Governors should also recieve same salaries as regional comissioners. Kenya should stop wastage money paying few individual hefty salaries.
