It's great. XGen was a bit overkill for stills and simple animations. This completely replaces the XGen workflow for me. Thank you so much for making this.
Excellent plugin!! Can you make a version for Maya 2023? because it will be great for creating metahuman hair. I don't know if it's possible but it would be good.
I'm finishing a new version of Ahoge and will publish it soon. The updated plugin will include color controls, and both color and width will be displayed in the viewport. After that, I'll work on automating the build process for multiple versions of Maya.
If Marmoset supports Alembic, then yes; however, there is currently only initial support, which will be expanded later. More formats are planned to be added in the future.
I'm sorry, but I don't understand what 'dynamic hair mode' means. Could you please elaborate? Currently, you can animate hair by rigging the NURBS surfaces, and motion blur is supported, although it hasn't been fully tested yet.
Looks cool, but unfortunately, I don't know maya yet. Does something like this exist for blender? And one more question: if the Ahoge made by mesh base, could it possible to rig with armatures?
Here is installation guide ahoge.wiki.gd/en/installation Currently there are versions for Maya 2024 and 2025. Later, I'll try to support more versions with future versions of Ahoge.
Looks OK but you don't see any hair representation in the viewport. If you don't have an Nvidia card you're screwed because you gotta use Arnold CPU render to be able to see anything.
The plugin is written in C++17. It cannot be compiled against older versions of MtoA. The oldest version of Maya it can work with is 2023. It might change in the future, if I decide to rewrite everything.

It looks really cool! It seems to be more flexible to adjust than traditional hair cards! Is the completed hair model low-poly?
I'm not sure what 'low-poly' means. It can be set up as either low-poly or high-poly.
it looks super cool, buut can we export it in marmoset for render ?

Can you add dynamic hair mode in ahoge please😊😊❤

Sooo cool ! It makes me want to try

Daz hair converter for blender. It converts mesh hair into particles system
is it possible to convert this to cards or it stays high poly
Please explain how to install the plugin and can I run on maya 2022??

Hair is shown as wireframe in the viewport at the moment. The next version will have color and width shown.
this pluggin works with redshift??
As far as I know Redshift's SDK isn't freely available.
maya2018 pls❤

Is it possible to export this out to Unreal Engine?
Yes! You can export as alembic, and import in unreal engine
