My brain was really affected. I had brain fog, fatigue, tinnitus, chronic pain, insomnia, tremor. I think it was because I was stuck in “fight or flight” secondary to the inflammation. I used pacing and yoga nidra to slowly get back into “rest and digest” and gently nudged (rather than pushed) myself forward. I am now fully-recovered at 20 months post-infection. I probably could’ve recovered quicker, but for months I didn’t understand what was going on. Good luck long haulers. You’ve got this! ❤️

11 months here, headaches, fatigue, brain fog, slowly slowly healing... hopefully I'll get there like yourself!
      UPDATE:
I have fully recovered after 24 months. It was very slow but I finally got there. The book 'The Way Out' by Alan Gordon definitely helped me with healing from long covid so I recommend that book. Aside from that, just be kind to yourself, give yourself space and time. I didn't think I was going to recover but honestly slowly and surely, it did happen. Sending you all the love and light cause I know how difficult I found it during the first year and a half but you will get there! Eat good food, exercise (if you can), be patient and love and take care of yourself.

@@Jorgaiki I started with a hypnotherapy session, then daily yoga nidra (not yoga), to get myself out of “fight or flight” and into “rest and digest”. That will allow your body to heal and your brain to slowly clear. You can’t heal (or sleep) when you’re stuck in “fight or flight”. Good luck. You’ve got this! ❤️

@@hazelcarter6937 hi I first off want to say I'm so glad you survived and are here to tell the story . As soon as I seen your comment I wanted to reply . I'm a 39yr old male no prior health issues to catching Covid . Tested positive on November 30th they sent me home on Tylenol and Tylenol codeine for the cough . The very next day I was back in the hospital. The breathing got bad literally overnight . I spent 16 days hospitalized and one step away from being ventilated. While in the hospital I lost all abilities just about with my body . I was not able to bathe , get dressed , poop on my own and or even sit up in bed to eat without the nurses assistances . Although I am currently home now I am still on oxygen until further notice . The lightheadedness I am currently dealing with is probably my worse even tho my breathing is still bad as well but my oxygen sits well on my pulse oximeter. And my heart rate is definitely always spiking .
Were you on oxygen at home after released from the hospital ? Also if so how long were you on oxygen for . And what were your symptoms mostly while home after hospital stay until you got better . Hope to hear from you soon and thank you so much in advance. God Bless

Do you have a pulse oximeter at home ? If not I highly recommend one . I've heard the shakiness / anxiety could be coming from low oxygen. If this is ever the case get to a hospital immediately and through paramedics so that you are not stuck in a waiting room deprived of oxygen

I had very mild COVID, probably Omicron. After 6 weeks, I still have muscle pain and weakness, fatigue, very low endurance, sleepiness (falling asleep while trying to read), and inertia in which I simply don't want to do much of anything. I lie down after dressing for the day. I may have an impulse to do something simple, like walk out to get my mail; then feel it is too much effort. My mind is restless, wanting to be active; but my body wants to lie down and rest. I previously have had fatigue after viral pneumonia, but this is worse.

The coughing part is horrible, still deal with it sometimes but not as bad as before, When I first got it my cough would take my breath away, my head hurt, and I felt like I was going to pass out from the coughs, it’s been 3 weeks since I tested negative and I still experience with a sort of chest burn, not pain, more like a feeling of a burning sensation inside my lungs and through my chest. This could take up to 6 months to a year to fully recover, and in cases it could be permanent.
