Wheels Through Time, is a magic place. I had the opportunity to meet Dale and take a picture with him, we talk about my Matchless and my struggles to make it run, and he said " It's easy! " to what I replied " It's for you, I should bring you to Brazil to make she work!"

I visited the Wheels Through Time Museum several years ago, about a week after my dad died. He was the one who introduced me to motorcycles, setting me between him and the gas tank of his Triumph. I would have been about four years old. I’m nearly seventy now, and that’s still a vivid memory.
I was able to meet Dale Walksler, Matt’s dad, during my visit. He passed away a few years ago.
I love that place…thanks for sharing your experience.

Thanks Mike for posting as finding the time must be a challenge for a guy who still is working! Great to finally meet you at Friday evening supper! This year was my 13th Barber Vintage Fest and the only thing bad I can say is never enough time to do everything! I didn't even make it to the fan zone this year. For those who haven't been told, Barber is truly a 'Bucket List' quality event!

Once again through this channel I’m blown away by the quantity and quality of old British iron in the USA. So many amazing bikes but my favourites were (unusually not including a BMW)
@8.19 my all time favourite Harley the XLCR café racer
@10.36 that early 1930’s BSA single (L31 ? OHV) My brother has an S30 (side valve)
@11.47 BSA Rocket 3, just dig that original ray gun silencer !
I went to a Wall of Death show for this first time this year at VMCC Founders Day and was so impressed, at one point they had 4 riders on bikes running in parallel. Having seen it only once I’d recommend the Wall of Death show as a must see ! 🇬🇧

Another thing I’ll add, a few years ago my wife and I went to the Barber Museum. Nearby we found a reservoir that had pontoon boat rentals. We spent a morning and picnic lunch on the water. It was great! Barber is a Mecca for motorcycles and racing. We had a wonderful time.

Where Wheels through time is located,(Maggie Valley,NC.) is the perfect place for a large rally. There is a huge field with everything needed for large events. Plenty of hotels/motels. The area riding is outstanding! Tail of the dragon, the blue ridge parkway, the Biltmore estate in Asheville. Harrahs casino in Cherokee. Tons of outdoor activities. I have two acres in nearby Waynesville,NC. I’ve been going there for years. By the way, almost every bike in Wheels through time starts and if asked they’ll crank one up for you. I went there with fellow Ural riders years ago and everyone from the museum came out to check out our rigs. I could easily spend all day there as there is so much knowledge there to read and see.

Many thanks. It looked like a beautiful place. I’m a huge fan of Matt and the wheels through time guys. It was a thrill to see him as we were arriving as we didn’t see him again afterwards. I really enjoy his UA-cam channel and his passion for the old bikes. Thanks for the tip about possible camping and future rallies! Best wishes, Mike.

I went through Maggie valley in March this year, but it was the day before WTT opened for the season.
Beautiful countryside compared to the flat plaines of southwestern Ontario, where we have great straight-aways !!
