@@tortesh1635 A malaphor is when someone mixes together idioms/sayings. In this case, he's mixing that saying with the biblical "let he who is without sin cast the first stone". Egg is so Austin Powers pilled his brain made a level 10 "train has sailed" joke without skipping a beat (and that's why we love him)

as a rural carrier for the post office its honestly ridiculous how many packages that people get and dont even realize that the post office is whos delivering it, like the amount of people that ask stuff like "what do you mean you work on sundays" (we do now JUST to deliver packages) and "you guys should do something like amazon and have 2 day shipping" (who do you think does the 2 day shipping???) like we are out for like 12 hours a day sometimes for JUST packages at this time of year and most people just dont even realize that
The Postal Service put out one of the best albums, but imagine if they had put out an album everyday for like multiple years while playing an indie roguelite, that would go CRAZY
I believe there should be a 1.5 hour compilation of NL's banter about the literal postal service over lofi beats and THAT shall be the ultimate postal service album

On the discussion of Pokemon Cards being delivered by the postal service being inefficient: it actually is WAY more efficient to let the Postal Service deliver stuff to you, instead of you using your car to pick stuff up at a store. The Postal Service cars are used more efficiently by a magnitude. They use them the whole day, so their engines are constantly warm and can operate at peak performance, so using less fuel. Second and even bigger, that one car is delivering stuff for dozens of people, that would result in dozens of other cars, if not for the Postal Service. So in terms of efficiency: Don't drive to a store just to pick up a Pokemon Card!

As an ex-Amazon delivery driver, I can say that I've only gotten tipped a handful of times throughout my 3 years. None of them were on country routes.
I genuinely think NL's idea about fitting everything in a one size-fits all, recycled box for delivery is really smart, cause it both saves production costs on the boxes, its waste negative, and Amazon could use it to incentivize people to fill their box with more stuff. I think he should talk to like Amazon execs about that or something

I downloaded this game yesterday for the first time and I refunded it the same hour . Back seat gaming is way different from the real game . I got hit by monstro 2 brimstone two times in the same blast and I didn’t even know that was possible .

Yeah, Repentance can be unfun if you have not spent 500+ hours playing the base game and DLCs.

@@t1h_tvj212 like I said, modern Isaac can be rough on new players. The changes were made to bring a challenge to the streamers and old fans who spent hundreds of hours playing.

NL playing Isaac again had me reinstall it. I've got 200 or so hours in it... but upon playing it again, I realized the base mechanics of the game aren't really all that fun. If you don't get any decent upgrades, it becomes a boring slog very fast. Maybe it's not aged very well, as tons of roguelites have come out that did this better.
They upped the difficulty, while watering down the item pool. You got compounding difficulty spikes. If you don't get lucky, you're just in hell
Nah, the mechanics are as tight as ever. It's just after 3 expansions when the item pool swallowed to be like 3x what it originally was combined with the questionable nerfing of old strats and upping monster movement and shooting speed the runs became very hit or miss unless you are very good at the game or running easy button characters like Isaac or Tainted Lilith.
It's the same problem that the gacha games have: bloat of options when you RNG makes it less likely you will get the outcome you desire.
And some of the new characters in Repentance are just annoying to play: I am looking at you Tainted Eden, Cain and Jacob/Esau.
Can you name one? Genuinely asking, because I've played a lot of roguelites similar to Isaac and felt they were all worse for one reason or another. Gungeon, Nuclear Throne, Monolith (renamed to Star of Providence), Risk of Rain 1 + 2, Hades, the list goes on. While I really enjoyed all of the games I just listed, except Gungeon, none of them have felt quite as crazy synergy wise as BoI does to me, so if you know of one that does I'd love to try it.
@@CycFlame I don't think that any game can because no other game has an item pool as vast as Isaac. UnderMine has that Isaac feel but still fall short of the craziness of BoI.
