- In order to properly celebrate the 20th anniversary of Paul Gilbert using Ibanez guitars, Ibanez promoted Racer X live! This was the first USA show since May 25, 2001.
This is Snakebite, which is about Panic Attacks, but is named after an Australian guy, SnakeByte who sent Paul an email in 1999.
This is recorded in 1080p, but rendered in 720p. This is the highest resolution that UA-cam can display correctly.

Raw Blues Power is one of my favorite albums from him. He's just amazing at everything.
Exactly, the first few PG solo albums were amazing, a nice beatles-esque sound but played with heavy guitars, an interesting combination... Wish he would record another album with Jimi Kidd (instead of the "fusion" crap he insists on playing nowadays, his uncle can sing good too! )
The first time I bought this album and I heard the solo, I thought my head was going to explode after the initial goosebumps. Thats what a good solo should do right?
Yes...you can blame the sound guy. Paul was pretty upset that he added delay to the guitar.
Not only did he do that....but the show was being recorded for a video...and he goofed up recording a part of the show.

The delay on the guitar solo actually didn't make it sound too bad, but on the vocals it was really bad.

Well, I like Jeff Martin's voice better in the studio version. The studio version is so awesome, so it's hard to make it any better, but it's nice to see him trying :)
As I type this it is December 23rd, 2012. I know why the World did not realize a cataclysmic end two days ago: it was because I had not yet seen this video. :] I love so much music, but these guys have been my favorite band for over 20 years now. Fuck the end of the world. Long live Racer X!
