One of the big updates for this flagship phone is the 50MP camera using Oppo's Marisilicon NPU to produce some natural looking results. Hasselblad has been brought in to fine-tune the app, while you also have an Ultra-Wide and Telephoto shooter in backup. My full review of the Find X5 Pro 5G will cover the camera in full.
Gaming on Genshin Impact and other demanding Android titles is a breeze, even on higher detail settings. Qualcomm's top-end SoC can cope with anything, helped by Oppo's cooling tech. Battery life is also excellent, thanks to the 5000mAh battery. ColorOS 12.1 is stuffed with bonus features and the Oppo Find X5 Pro also serves up a gorgeous AMOLED screen plus stereo speakers.

I got the oppo Reno 2 because of your reviews a couple years ago and I got the find X 3 pro back in December cos of your reviews as well and I have to say thank you uncle spurt. The best phones I've ever had
no zoom improvement and they even removed the microscope and charge you 150€ more, way to go Oppo!

Been using oppo for a while now (A5 2020) for nearly 3 years now & still in love with it, but when Uncle Spurt said "it ain't going to be cheap" I'd rather get ready my beer ready for watching TSW ep 100.. BTW cheers great review sir!!
How is Oppo on software updates (minor security and major OS?)
@@highlightshadow I'd say maybe the saddest & slowest to get updated. I only get 1 major update for sure, as for security updates, still getting an update till now (hopefully till the end of the year)

The Neo is just called the Find X5 this year. Are you sure about the specs on the X5 lite? It's normally 8gb Ram 128gb storage, it certainly won't have more Ram than the X5.

Hi spurt, Is it that much of an upgrade on the find X3 pro? Notice it's lost the microscope camera which I have actually used.
Looking forward to this phone. Didn't end up getting a Find X3 Pro as my Reno 10X Zoom is still going (though it's 3-years old now so it's bones are starting to creak).
Holding out for the inevitable vegan leather option (I quite liked the previous Find X vegan leather options, though this time it looks like it's going to be light blue).

Maybe, in my eyes at least, the best SP altogether . All aspects of it, so nicely rounded. Beautiful and powerful phone 👍

The only reviewer that reviews more than the camera! British humour is ace too. Best tech reviewer without a doubt. Doesn't seem so horribly biased like marques brownlee either. Great guy.
Find x5 Pro is incredible and much much nicer in person. The x2 Pro is still extremely nice in person and nowhere near close to looking outdated. These are amazing phones for those that haven't had one.
Other than the usual Samsung and apple, oppo and xiaomi are the best imo. Used every brand known to man. Xiaomi get the edge for me with hardware but software down to oppo.

Sorry for posting a question on an older vid but wanted your opinion in light of current black Friday deals. This Oppo X5 Pro or the Oneplus 10 Pro? They can be had for within £40 of each other currently on Amazon (£699 for Oneplus or £739 for the Oppo) which both seem too good to miss as I'm in the market for an upgrade from my Oneplus 8 (non pro version). Is the haptic feedback better than the find x3 pro? I had the x3 pro and It wasn't very good.

How's the black colour compared to the Find X3 Pro is it darker than the X3 Pro?
Hey Chris, do you think there will be a huge difference between the pro and non pro version? both of them uses mari silicon but the non pro version uses 888 instead of the 8 gen 1.
While I'm not Chris, I can tell you that the difference is incremental but has some very strong positives.
I've literally used a 888 and 8 Gen 1 phone back to back and the difference is more in smoothness and consistency. Sometimes the 888 can jitter a little when there is a couple of apps open or lots happening on the display. The 8 Gen 1 is a improvement as it's hard to trip it up. Battery life on 8 seems to be slightly better, even on the same battery and similar hardware. Gaming, both are capable and differences are not too significant there.
While it's not a huge difference, if you don't mind the extra cost, 8 Gen 1 is superior in daily use. Hope that helps!

Glad to see that under their mew management Hasselblad is more serious about putting their brand in collaboeations. Their rebranding of Sony cameras were too subtle to notice a difference.
I had a oppo find x2 pro before having a Samsung s21 ultra and I can safely say I preferred the oppo. Every day use the oppo worked better. The camera was better too apart from the 10x zoom.
How was the support updates etc ..thanks..

I still have the X2 pro and support is still going. Still performing as a flagship- display and cameras work flawlessly 2 years on

This could be the ideal upgrade for me from a Galaxy S20, instead of the S22 … it pisses me off I have to buy the massive unwieldy ultra model to get the best camera.
Paying 900+ euro's for a 1080p screen is also a bit meh.

So, I just rewatched oppo findx3 pro review. What are getting here ladies and gentlemen compared to the last year's phone?
- bigger battery (wooow, no way??)
- new chip (are you freaking kidding me? Who could have guessed?)
- a slightly better lense.
Plus this phone got 20 grams heavier and they got rid off that microscope which came in handy when I wanted to astound some lady with a pic of my junk.

I have the oppo find x3 pro at the moment. Is it worth upgrading to the x5 or do I stick with the ex for now? Doesn't really seem that much difference between the 2
Personally I’d stick with the 3 bud it still overall rates higher than the 5 the only 2 key things the 5 has over the 3 is the snap dragon and gpu but the 3 still has fantastic itself it’s not going to be outdated anytime soon still 2 - 3 years of been a powerful phone easy. If your a person who likes good cameras and your curious about that the 3 and 5 have the exact same camera on specs they haven’t improved that at all. Hope this helps lol I know it’s a late reply
I have the find x3 pro. the only con I've noticed on the smartphone is the front camera selfie. The front camera it's blurred once you start moving your hands trying to capture events around you. The camera software doesn't have IOS stabilisation. I hope this is corrected in the future and x5. Overall great phone.

I'm still loving my X3PRO but this shows promise of tech advancement. I'd like to know what you think about upgrading as I'll probably keep my 3pro until find X7 or if there foldable find N gets a few years in. I'm also loving that they've put a bigger battery in this one. I do wish that my X3PRO had 5000mah.

@@highlightshadow on the 3xpro it's 3 years of security and Android updates. But I don't worry about that kind of thing in general as I always have my own phone/internet security on my phone's no matter what I have anyway. And usually a phone will keep going for at least 5ish years. It slows down by the end of it but that's the only way I can justify buying a flagship by keeping it for at least 5years.

Thank you for this very informative review without all the "extras" you covered everything that I needed to know. I am on my third Oppo phone now and they have all been nice to use and very reliable. I tried an I phone recently and really disliked the square edges which are unsightly and uncomfortable in my hand with the metal edges. I will order on of these soon, I hope they have a special offer like wireless earbuds as Oppo have done before. Thanks again for this excellent report.

Chris, it would be good if you could include voice assistant capability on your reviews. Some android phones don't allow the Google Assistant if the screen is off. No reviewers mentions that issue.

Will be going for the honor magic 4 pro since its design is exactly like Huawei since honor is still using Huawei sortware and design since Huawei sold honor. The honor magic 4 pro was supposed to be released on April 9th in my cou try yet no word from honor. I may just give up and enjoy my Huawei mate 40 pro and p40 Pro as they are amazing devices. Pure premin, no point in my wasting over £1000 for a phone I don't need
