- I've been living on this sailboat for half a decade. I've sailed to more than 10 countries and sailed for days on end solo. Single handed sailing the open ocean. Ask me anything about what it's like at sea or being a liveaboard solo sailor. I live on my 1979 Morgan 382 Sailing Vessel Arianrhod

Being solo, whats your sleep regiment look like during passage?
Question #1 Have you hit any strong storms at sea? If so how did you handle it?
Question #2 would you consider stowing livestock on board for extra company/provisions

#1 yes I’ve been through some wild shit, how to handle it, it’s hard to explain via text. Maybe I can make a video about my craziest sails. The worst storms I’ve been in I’ve been solo don’t really have much footage of the process. I’ll look through the archives
2. I’ve considered strapping a goat to the deck. But seems a bit inhumane lol
3. As far as where I’ve been since this comment, I just made land after 19 days at sea.
How do you like living that kind of life style? I'm looking to retire in 6 years and am looking forward to it. I know it's not all fun and games, but is it worth it? Or do it for just for a few years?
Crazy stuff, fair winds bro. We just bought a 60 foot ketch, i want to sail either solo or with 2-3 people to hawaii or cabo. Ant thoughts on food and stores for a 2300 mile crossing?

Hey Dylan! Can you do a video on life safety (eg. Life Jackets/ Contingencies situations etc.) and if you've an extra life boat in the case if an unexpected event happens that one needs to self-save/help like if there's an explosion or something along that kind of scenario/s? ;-)

can you sail at night on autopilot & go to sleep in the cabin and have some radar alarm if there is a. boat up ahead?
Hey Dylan, how many days a month do you spend time at a marina and how many at anchor?
I try to spend as much time as possible on anchor. So many months at a time I’ll stay on anchor. I only go into marinas if I have work I need to do or I’m more or less forced into one becsuse of the weather.
