The places mentioned in some legends are real so that would give some historical accuracy.
Mythology is just religion that people don’t believe in anymore.
They r all real on with some small degree of exaggeration. Yu don't have to take my word just revisit some and compare recent archaeological findings.

There have been evidence of a great flood that occurred in the middle east some odd 7000 years ago, inspiring many a tale like the Epic of Gilgamesh and of coarse Noah. I used to have terrible nightmare s and I had at least two where I was chased and attacked by a jet black dog with blood red eyes. When I practiced yoga everyday I was able to conciously pray or meditate actually in the nightmare and it immediately went into a nice normal dream. Eventually they stopped after years. I put it down to yoga. They were really bad. Being attacked by demons and stuff.
