Absolutely brilliant movie, heartbreaking, scary, eye opening. No getting away from her horrible pain, you're in the room with her and in her skin. I am 49 and remember her wedding, her sons birth and all that followed. Kristin is phenomenal.
When on earth did Americans adopt those accents? Someone told me it's 'valley girl ' speak or something else that I can't remember. They do a jerky little inflection with certain words, often in a squawky strangulated voice. Look at some of the old Dick Cavett interviews of American guests of earlier generations; lovely voices with flowing articulate speech - Lauren Bacall, Orsen Wells and the rest.

Some people also refer to it as " up speak" and I agree, it's not my cup of tea! It's like nails on a chalkboard unfortunately for me.🤦
