It's hilarious when people think that City "have no fans" when in fact they had a higher average attendance last season than both Liverpool and Chelsea. Plus the average City fan has been a fan for 21 years which is the second longest in the premier league. Unlike other teams, City's fans are loyal and if we suddenly had a huge growth in support all the other teams fans will just say they are all fake so you can't win. Other teams can't face the fact that City are becoming one of the best teams in the world and has to find something to "laugh" about. I am a city fan because my dad has been his whole life and I couldn't have wished for a better team to support

BlueFacondor The expansion wasn't finished by the end of the season. Yes our stadium was a few thousand more than Liverpool and Chelsea and yes there were a few more empty seats for whatever reason, I am not denying that. I am saying that the attendance has been constant since the years when we used to finish near the bottom of the league and before the take over. I'd rather have fewer 'real' fans than more glory supporters.

Really nice to see our support growing over in New York, and with our connection with NYCFC, I can see Manchester City and New York creating a great bond.

There fans are way too passionate to be labeled as plastic, it doesn't matter where you come from because football is universal.
I was knew I loved football, but didn't know what club to support, so I talked to my Grandma, who was from Manchester she talked about how when she was a kid she went to every single City game and was really really sad when she moved to Canada, because she couldn't watch the matches. She didn't live long enough to see Manchester win the league since 67-68 :(
My dad starting supporting City since the late 1970's, earlier 1980's when Francis Lee played a few games at Cape Town City. He moved to London and I support Manchester City simple as.

Been a City fan for over 20 years so been thru the ups recently and very downs from Massachusetts in the U.S. Never will change no matter how good or bad we are. Loved the club since before even a top flight title was anything short of a miracle in a dream. All clubs have fans from when they are successful and say they always supported so don't come on the City page and talk about fake or not really being fans. Every team in every sport has fans like that they also have people who just get into the sport or in sports in general so never had a reason before to claim who they support.

Supported since 2010, I had always been taught to hate United and I was a young kid learning about football and found that Ctiy hated United. Began supporting the club and it just felt (and feels) right
The simple fact is that people will choose a club to support because they connect with the club. That connection may be as simple a thing as being born into fandom of the club or loving the way a club's style of play or more complex things like having an emotional connect with the club etc
I come from a small town cradled in the Himalayas in India. Although India is a cricket crazy country and football is largely ignored, in the region I come from, football is the more popular sport and Premier League is hugely followed.
I was never a football follower but I did play a lot of Fifa and did watch the World Cups, those were the only football that I knew off. Obviously yes I was aware of the existence of the Premier League but it never interested me nor did any other football leagues.
Following a Premier League club was and actually still is kind of a trend and fashion out here. A new football fan could easily join a plethora of fanbases already in existence here. There was (and is) Man United, the global giant, arguably "The Best in the world", Following them is the hip and trendy thing to do and is easy too, Arsenal (whom all the chicks of our place follow cos of the "Handsome" squad), Chelsea (another big growing power), Liverpool (the club with the history) etc. But all this exciting propositions never excited me.
It was only in 2012 by I dunno what stroke of luck I ended up watching a football match while just randomly flipping channels. And that Football Match was none other than that epic QPR match.
As at that point of time, my life was in a pretty bad phase but City winning that title at the very last moment and seeing the emotions (and knowing the backstory) of the fans showed me hope that in life if you never give up you some how someday will find better things for yourself. I guess I found an emotional connect at that very moment and from then on I have been passionately following City. City have become a major part of my life and will certainly remain so for the rest of it.
Being a City fan in a place where there are so many Arsenal, Utd, Chelsea fans who number at the ratio 10:1 is not an easy life. From incessant jibes at following a so-called "Money" club to being called glory hunters again and again, we go through it all the time, but then again, who even wants things to be easy.
City's fanbase is exceptionally growing here and whole throughout the world. No matter where we are at, pretty sure people share the same Passion for City. It's a good time to be Blue.

Me and my friend when on my wiiu to play Fifa 14 demo and we would just play around. We would always play as Arsenal or Manchester City and about two years later he got Fifa 15 for Xbox one and became a Juventis fan, and when I search up Manchester City on the App Store, I saw how much fun you guy have and care for the fans. I have watched the tunnel cam video a lot and that's what stuck me to the team.

My story started when, the World Cup happened, I saw Belgium vs the U.S., I was heartbroken when the U.S. lost, but when I saw Vincent Kompany playing defense really well and Derek Boyata being very aggressive, I looked up who they were, it said big and bold MANCHESTER CITY, I knew they would already become my favorite players. I started watching City play, when they played Everton this year I was pissed off that Sergio Kün Aguero got hurt. When I feel sad I always end run around my room with my Manchester City ball, no matter what my mom says. Every time Man City score I start chanting: "Sherikh Mansour went, to Spain. In a Lamborghini, brought us back a manger Manuel Pelligrini." People call a fat band wago even though I am super skinny, I don't care what people say about us, Man City fans, all I know that Man City will be my team. It's my dream to play for Man City. I'm 12 years old playing for a club called Charlotte United Futbol Club hoping to go play football as a job when I'm older. My one objective for my life, play for the Blue Moon. Man City is my team. People like Chelsea, West Ham, Manchester United, but my favorite, my only favorite is Manchester City.
As a united fan I still find the "fan since 2010, 2011 etc." stereotype funny, but on the other hand i'm enjoying the fact we now have a more competitive rivalry and that more people are getting into football across the world & following new teams.

I live in Queens but have never really been given that pushed to go to the madhatter since im a bit shy to go alone! My dads a manu fan and brother in law a chelsea fan. Theres no other team however in my household that outshines the skyblues the famous Manchester City. Im as proud as the person living in manchester right next to the etihad... Alone in my room every game i watch alone, but oh so proud!!

Christopher Solis I can tell you that as a blue living in another City with a good core of fans, there's nothing better than going to watch the games with other folks. I was in San Francisco for the last day of the season this year so I looked up where the supporters watched the game and headed over -- it was a blast there too. Go out and do it, you'll be glad you did!

While supporting City from the states can be tough, what is worse is being from Philadelphia, there is no way I can support NYCFC as a Union fan. I went to the match at PPL earlier this season where Union won 2-1 and I saw so many City fans. I was disappointed that I couldn't support along with them in my sky blue, but I couldn't turn on my roots.

Funny to think I've been a city fan my whole life, born in Manchester and from Manchester, City runs in my family and always has done. Last ever Derby at Maine road I was 3 years old, and I was there. FA cup 2011 I was there, City 3-2 QPR I was there.
