Being a Life Long Ga.Tech Fan I have to say to Truly appreciate this Chaplain and all that he does you would have to be a TRUE TECH FAN! He is our Champlain and Motivational Coach! He is Truly a God Fearing Christian and sets a great example for these young men! I am so glad that I have had the chance to meet him and talk with him on several occasions. It doesn't take much for him to bring tears to any man's eyes.
I was at NSU in Oklahoma back in '91 when Derrick Moore played there. I can tell you that this man was the same then as he is today. Inspirational, excited, motivated and a great running back to boot. I am very happy that he has found his place and is motivating these young men as he did for NSU all those years ago. Derrick also played for the Detroit Lions in '93 and '94 and was a substantial part of that team for his short tenure and his "how 'bout them Lions" response after Detroit beat Dallas on a Monday Night game was priceless. No matter what happens to the Georgia Tech team this season, they will be inspired by the presence of this remarkable man.
This video gets me emotional. Being a Tech fan is hard, it can be disappointing, it can be frustrating. Always seeing average seasons (except for 2 seasons since ive been a fan) ,always being second best in the state but never jumping on the UGA bandwagon. But at the end of the day, i can never stop loving GT.

And he also had the highest football score in history - college or pro - when Georgia tech beat Cumberland College 222 - 0 back in 1917. Not good to piss off the coach!!!!!!! Actually the reason for the high score - was a little payback!!!!! The previous year - Cumberland brought in some professional baseball players and beat Tech 1 - 0 in baseball - and Tech was nationally ranked.

Few know this - but the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets - got their name because the college was in a huge downtown area and to keep new students from getting lost - when you went outside during your freshman year - you MUST wear a bright Yellow Jacket - so if you got lost -people in the downtown area would notice you and send you home - back to Georgia Tech!!!!!!!!!! The name evolved into the bee when sports were intorduiced!!!!!!!!!
In other news, Georgia running back Todd Gurley was suspended indefinitely by the NCAA. GT's chances of a win against the Bulldogs have soared. Oh, and to you Georgia fans, *gives double middle fingers*
