  • Materials needed to strain and bottle your tincture:
    1. Nitrile Gloves
    2. Two glass containers (mason jars or measuring cups)
    3. Fine mesh strainer
    4. Bowl and spoon
    5. Coffee filters
    6. Rubber bands or lid for mason jar
    7. Dropper bottles
    Steps:
    1. Let your tincture rest for at least an hour after shaking.
    2. Filter through a fine mesh strainer and push the powder into the strainer. This will separate the powder from the liquid.
    3. Put 2 coffee filters over a glass measuring cup or mason jar, securing the filters with rubber bands or lid.
    4. Slowly pour the liquid into the glass container until all liquid has filtered through the coffee filters (this can take up to 30 minutes depending on how big of a batch you made)
    5. Carefully transfer your finished tincture into your dropper bottles (I use these www.amazon.com...)
    6. Taste your finished tincture one drop at a time on the tongue or go crazy and do a whole Robbie! Enjoy in food or drinks too!

    But Gator Jigsaw isn't #superhot ! we all know that! 🤪J/K! Nice instructional video. I might try it if I ever get enough peppers/powder over. Also, wouldn't something like a turkey baster make quick work of the bottling? Best of luck to all contestants!

    thanks for the part 2! i was wondering if there was a big difference between using #superhot powder vs fresh pods?

    • @PepperRanger
      @PepperRanger  Рік тому +1

      Good question! The main two differences are that you can get a more concentrated tincture with powder just due to volume but the flavor is more enhanced with fresh pods. Some people use both!

    #superhot What’s the best method for adding fruit? Can you just add it to the original mixture?

    • @PepperRanger
      @PepperRanger  Рік тому

      Yes that’s definitely the best way! Using dried is the best too because you can add more. Freeze dried and ground into a power is the absolute best and should be added into the original mixture
