If your not comfortable putting your mouth on theirs and you don’t have a pocket mask or a breathing barrier just do chest compressions that is the new standard now. Would want to put your mouth on someone you don’t know, different story if it’s a family member. That piece of thin gauze that is barely covering the mouth is doing nothing at all. Trust me I have been doing this for 30+ years, I also teach First aid and CPR/BLS.
@True North u r ryt buddy even I'm a doctor.. the most imp thing over here is chest compressions. Our basic aim is to start the heart beat.. which happens with the help of chest compression..
Technique of CPR 1. Check your surroundings for Safety . Check the pt response 2. Check for Breathing . Open airway with head tilt chin left . Look, listen, feel 3. Call for help 4. Place the victim on firm flat surface 5. Chest compressions upto 5 cm 6. 2 breaths
It's an interesting and educative video for everyone to know irrespective of your profession because it can happen anyway and a life can be saved if you know the technique
What’s up with the gauze partially covering the mouth. That’s not going to Protect you, new standards we don’t give rescue breaths especially on someone you don’t know. Just do chest compressions.
You can't perform CPR if the patient is in the recovery position. Basically, you check the airways, breathing, blood circulation first, provide CPR if necessary and once everything is stable that's when you put the person in recovery position while waiting for the ambulance.
@@GemSig you forgot that you first have to check if the patient is responsive before checking for breathing and blood circulation. It happened that we felt no pulse yet the patient was very responsive. Always always always check for response or consciousness before checking signs of life.
After giving a breath, while rescuer twists his head and is looking at the patient's chest, rescuer should release the hand from squeezing the patient's nose.

I don’t think there would be time to feel comfortable or discomforted if you are trying to save someone
@@roseasoki6046 depends...but generally there is. Even on practice dolls my friends feel discomfort at first.
Thank you very much. I hope to train under your supervision if possible. I live in the Emirates

Most people date non-virgins. Most people are comfortable putting their mouths on mouths they have no idea where they have been.

Great video,thanks for the information
Great video. Do you not need to put the patient in recovery position to clear the airway first before cpr?

recovery position is only necessary when the patient is unconcious but showing signs of life

Carotid pulse not checked
No pulse checks anymore for the lay rescuer
if we come across somebody with no arms and legs, do we bother resuscitating them? i mean what kind of quality of life do we have there?
Best episode ever
I would want to live with no arms or legs. But I don’t do anything anyways.
❤
Thanks
Pulse first not breathing and if no pulse start cpr immediately
In the ERC recommendations, the untrained First Responder is not recommended to check for a pulse. AHA Algorithms may differ.👍🏻
We don’t check carotids??

thank u
Giving chest compressions look f'in easy here but it's definitely not lol
After like a few compressions you can feel your arms starting to hurt 💀
Good information
This video is incorrectly titled - “BLS” is not just CPR!
Please Or example
Sorry... but look listen and feel of breathing isnt mandatory... Hands-Only CPR...

Who is from mtc mansoora??
Check pulse before CPR
No more pulse checks anymore. Most people can’t find one
First call for help then check the person is breathing or not. Isn't it stupidity?
HI SIR NORBIE
What you, say in 0:37 if you alone call for help hahha
atonal
Seriously ?
inacurate
How?
You can do continuous compression if u don’t want to do mouth to mouth.
Not like a thin strip of gauze is going to protect you.
