I was in a record store in Virginia Center Commons in 1990 and heard some killer music playing thru the store system. It was this song and I swear I thought it was Stryper ! Turned out to be a "local" band from Richmond called Firehouse. The girl saw how much I was into it so she gave me the promotional cassette tape she had for playing in the store ! I still thank her to this day ! She also gave me free tickets to a Faith No More show at the Metro in Richmond for that same weekend. I commenced to wearing that cassette out and I turned SO many people onto Firehouse that I honestly think the promo tape was better off with me ! Me and my Drummer went to the Metro for the Faith No More show but got turned away due to the fact that there were the maximum amount of people there already allowed by Fire Code. So we walked around the corner to see Nuclear Assault at the Jade Elephant instead ! Goddamn those were the days ! This was so cool of Stryper (saw them down the road a bit at the Cellar Door when Yellow & Black Attack came out !) Tommy C. in Virginia
A great rock and roll song, by a great Band! I love Firehouse. One of my faves from that era, and what a shame they got to the party late. Bill Leverty is one of a kind, and an incredible guitarist, and person. A great tribute to CJ, and so sad that he's not with us any more. But great job by these guys over covering it, and honoring CJ's Life and legacy. Good stuff!
Awesome, you could tell they did it on the fly(from memory and michael is reading lyrics)and for that it is pretty great 👏 love stryper and firehouse r.i.p cj snare 😎👌
I wish I was there. I know c.j. is looking down smiling. Great job guys. R I.p. CJ 🙏 my cousin Michael and I saw stryper last year here in Sacramento/Roseville California at the gold mine trading company bar & grill. First time and the show was heavenly awesome. Once again great tribute to c.j.snare. keep rocking guys and God bless you all
Awesome job! When Perry joined the band, I was hoping you guys would do some Firehouse on the road. Stryper & Firehouse were the majority of what I listened to (and learned on guitar) in high school. Love this!
A morte do vocalista do fire house ( banda qual eu amo!) foi muito triste, mas, esse é o fim de todos nós! Bela homenagem do stryper... 🌹❤️🌹 D!3gO Kost3l@... 🤟😎🖤🙏🎸🎹🎵❤️🌹
I have this odd thing where i reminisce about a particular artist/celeb and decide to do an internet search to see where they are now and then find out they passed away. Remember those club days losing our voices belting "dont treat me bad" whenever the dj played it.
T/y for posting this. Didn't know he passed. I met the band after a show (maybe 10 yrs ago) and they were awesome. Always one of my favorite bands from that era. This one is going to sting for a while. Hope he was saved 🙏
Seems like I was the only one in the crowd excited when they said they would cover Firehouse. What an awesome tribute to CJ ♥️🥲
0:16 Yeah, clearly. (rolls eyes)
God bless you my friend! Jesus saves sinners!
@@RusticMillRRwhere I was standing it seemed like crickets when they said they would cover firehouse and then again when he said it was All She Wrote
Thats not true. I heard enthusiasm from the crowd.
I think it's because Michael can't hit those highs anymore after his surgery?
Much respect to Stryper for doing this.
When they did this in Puerto Rico, we all went nuts. I sang my lungs out. Thank you Stryper
Other 80's bands are falling by the wayside, but Stryper soldiers on..
Better than ever.
Firehouse were a 90's band
@@SteveBurk
I was referring to Stryper being an eighties band, but you are correct about Firehouse....
@@davidalley7270 oh ok lol
solders or soldier?
@@ryanmcdougall22 Maybe they have to solder some wires for their guitar pickups. 🙂
The only band from the 80’s where the singer hasn’t lost his voice.
Rob Halford, Bruce Dickinson, Tom Kiefer...there are still some.
Biff byford sound better than in 70s and 80s

Loved seeing Stryper and this tribute. Stryper is better now than ever in every aspect!!! Unbelievable show!!!
CJ is gone but as long as we have his music he'll always be with us...
A fitting tribute, very well done 🤘🙏
I closed my eyes and focused for 1/2 the song. I opened them and I was back in 1987 watching Stryper live again.
