You've got to play with the tab. It has to be pulled out just enough for the whole housing to go back into the port itself. And you got To turn it 90° counter clockwise, if you're standing in front of have it to wear. The orange end is up in the air. Then put it down in there, then turn it back. Counter clockwise to where it will fit. Normally like it does and try it that way.If not, then adjust the orange tab somewhere. It's tricky but if you play with it for a minute, you'll figure it out.I just did it today after breaking it and my car runs fine. There's no issues as far as that piece goes

I've been having problems with my Chevy cutting off while driving and cranking but no start. I took my car to Pep Boys they diagnosed, a catalytic converter and throttle body which came up to 4000$ so I declined. I took it to another auto shop and they diagnosed the coil pack but that didn’t fix the problem. over time it kept breaking down and cranking but did not start until one day I was driving and my car broke down and wouldn’t start so I went under the hood with no mechanic experience and decided to unplug the connector from the coil pack and plug it back in and the car started right up. so the very next day I went on Amazon and purchased a coil pack connector for my Cruze and had it installed and my car has Been running fine ever since.

    That’s not a switch, it’s a connector.
Also, “3 of the 71 in-lb bolts have stripped, I guess I’ll replace the entire head” is wrong if you know how to use a helicoil, but ok…

I've got helicoils in almost every spot now. Lol. Unfortunately I'm very familiar. I'm learning as I go. These junk cars are a mechanics nightmare. (Or dream of you are getting paid? )

had same issue, ended up being a loose ground right below the coil plug

i own 2 vehicles with this motor this worked on both
ZIP-TIE wrapped it threw the middle of the pigtail and round the first coil closest to the plug. it was temp. it works so good i found no reason to change. plus i could use the money saved to fix the one of the many other problems.

Same exact problems with my Cruze I had 2 stripped threads on the valve cover block I took it to a shop in Michigan and they rethreaded the threads and put in slightly bigger screws. P0171 code is gone no oil spills. Now I'm gonna take it to an electric shop to see if the can depin the ignition coil connector wires and pin it into another connector.

On your stripped out holes there's a company called timesert they sell steel insert kits for every type of threaded hole that you drill and countersink them in it's a steel on steel threaded insert they are bulletproof and you can't strip them out I use them all the time

Hi John! I just learned about a $3 part that could make your day real bad. The timing chain guard, a little plastic guard, gets cracked and will break off possibly throwing the chain? I wanted you to know because I want to see you get 300 thousand and beyond!! Lol. Have a good one!
