Hello, this is a update, I am a banknote collector since 2022, I have 10s, £1, four £5s, and £10, and question, why is said "Governor and The Company of the Bank of England 2000" On the tenner back in November 2000?
@@BBNCollector07 An artist, he would do a sketch of a banknote with his signature in coloured pencils. When he went to restaurants he would give them the choice of his drawing or a real banknote. I am guessing those who cose his drawing are rather better off than those that chose the note. He ended up in court for counterfeiting but he was not trying to pass his drawing off as real notes, due to that case though the Bank of England started to copyright their designs.

It is to copyright the design after an artist (Boggs) was drawing them in coloured pencil and a legal case was brought. Its an interesting story...
