I'm curious what thoughts you might have on why your theater rooms went unused? I'm either moving to a new home or a boat in the next year, and if I stay on land a theater room was one of my "nice to haves" for a new home.
@@fantabuloussnuffaluffagus Typically, dedicated theater rooms are in less than welcoming environments (windowless rooms or basements) and/or simply located in areas where the family doesn't typically congregates. To me that is going to be at the top of the list as to why DHTs often go unused.
@@KristiWright Thanks Kristi. I suppose that's the answer I expected, but I also thought that getting together to watch the latest on Netflix or whatever would engender enough sense of occasion to make using a DHT worth the trouble. Isn't a windowless basement room ideal for a home theater? Time to reconsider I suppose.
@@fantabuloussnuffaluffagus If you want to use a projector, then yes, a windowless or light controlled room is best however, I think the reality is that those are still often less inviting or in more remote locations of the home which result in a lack of use.
So here is what I learned since subscribing to your channel as a member this year. I came to your channel because I wanted to get into home theatre. I was already steeped in the dark hole of audio spending thousands upon thousands on everything including outrageously expensive cables, interconnects and power blocks not to mention lots on turntables, speakers and tube gear. I lost the enjoyment of listening to music and became addicted to listening to equipment never satisfied. Out of frustration I locked all my equipment in the basement, with my 5,000 plus LPs, and 3,000 CDs twenty years ago.. I only listened to music live in small jazz venues which I have done since I was 15 years of age and am now 73. I still go with my wife of 40 years to a live jazz club every Saturday night because of the love of music. I can without question say that if you want to be in love with your spouse for 40 years find something you both love and share and keep doing it like you did when you first met and were dating. Since I joined your channel I purchased the Onkyo RZ 50, the Polk R 700s, the Polk R400 Center channel speaker, the SVS 3000 micro, the Bluesound Node, some Decware cables and a miniDSP SHD so I have both the ability to tune my room using Dirac and EQ the result as the SHD give you both options. I've used all your links so I hope you were compensated for that. What I learned is I'm not attracted to the blockbuster type movies that allow me to hear full surround sound with Dolby Atmos. I still prefer foreign films with subtitles where surround sound does not really matter although I do listen in Dolby surround. What you have both done for me however is renewed my enjoyment of listening to music in my home. I have unpacked the LPs and CDs, unpacked my Merrill turntable with the ETII arm and will be getting the Ortofon Black you recommend. So even though Home theatre turned out not be all that important to me, you have rekindled my love of of sitting down to a great album and listening to the music and not the equipment and for that I love you both. Happy New Year, be well! and I hope you had a chance to download the image I made you for your Instagram channel.
Please hold onto that refreshing individualism, professionalism and excitement in your videos. Following many HIFI and Home Audio channels, you two stand out for not taking this hobby too serious and not being elitist. This channel has always been my go to source for informative, high quality and fun reviews. I love your conversations at the end and the Polk R700 review showed that you are passionate, down to earth and really care. You deserve the best for 2023.
My favorite videos are of you designing your living room space to be inviting and not a dark media room. I was going into home theater as the traditional designs go. But now I want to copy your atmos and surround setup for that same flexibility. With big and bright tv too. Projectors can eat it. Your design details and purpose for home spaces are so helpful. I’m taking notes for my setup as well.
The slat wall video was great, really opened up my eyes to what can be done to fix your room without a bunch of movie poster acoustic panels everywhere
I think my favourite video was the KEF LS60 wireless 🎉 And thank you for a whole year of amazing videos. I hope you all have some time for some good holiday. And I’ll see you all next year! 😊😊
My favorite videos this year were the slat wall video and the Denon X1700h review. I’m building my first system right now, so the channel was super great to watch this year!
I've been asking for a heritage subwoofer and center for YEARS!! I have a Klipsch Palladium full surround system and know they can make a crazy 3-way center if they want like they used to.
I also really liked the room treatment video. Wish I could do something to my room as well. And thanks for helping me select my system, Klipsch rp 8000fs, bluesound streamer (hdmi arc ftw) and a XTZ a2-300 amplifier. Does everything I want, and I can melt my neighbours ears with my metal music. 😁🎶 Happy New Year!
Finally did it. The Cornwalls were out of our budget unfortunately so we went with 3 Heresy IVs in black ash. While the stereo imaging made for a perfect center channel (just like you said of the cornwall's), it only worked great sitting in one spot with the speakers point straight at me. The Heresy IV as a center is amazing. Perfect clarity across the entire very large room. Final stages of a living room/kitchen remodel and the TV and sound engulf both the kitchen and living areas. We often sit at the bar area in the kitchen and with this setup, audio video are perfect everywhere. I HIGHLY recommend the Heresy IV as a center channel. Now, can you get one wrapped to match your amazing Cornwalls! FYI, now my surrounds and ATMOS speakers kinda suck but are OK with some tweaking....... Older version of the same Klipsch in ceilings y'all put in... You earned what ever sponsorship Klipsh gives you (if any) on these videos, thank you!
I truly think you two would love Rythmik subs. They blend so incredibly well with any speaker setup. So precise in bass without being boomy like Klipsch subs can get.
The response of the Cornwall's with the Yamaha is fantastic and much better than I thought it would be. Congratulations on your new setup it's fantastic!
Beautiful. Just beautiful. Incredible design and planning. My fave videos of the year: Mission 770, JBL Bar 5.1, and the ProJect Speaker Box 5 S2. The latter two of which may be my next purchases. Great job, as always, and great year for the channel! Congrats!
Thank you for the reviews and content . I hope you are both having a lovely time during this festive period. I can't wait for next year's reviews. 10/10
Hi guys. Thanks so much for this post! While it may have been focused on your home theatre, I was focused on your home. I love what you've done with it. It's a calm, restful home, so easy on the eyes, while not being boring. There's lots of texture and luxury afoot. (And I'm a huge fan of your slatted walls.) It's also spacious, which brings up a question I may have asked before: have you tamed it well? I imagine it could be prone to a lot of echo. Thanks again and all the best in 2023. I look forward to more Sunday afternoons with you. Cheers from Nova Scotia.
Thank you for your comment and kind words. To your question, first, reflections (aka echo or reverb) aren't automatically bad. In truth, you want a nice balance of reverb and absorption for best results. If a room is too dead it will sound like --well, dead. Now, obviously we couldn't leave the room(s) alone, or leave them how they appear in our BTS walk-through footage seen in this video. Upon move in our rooms had decay times of well over a second. In the main room we just showed you the decay or RTA time is now down to a nice 0.5 - 0.6, which is what I wanted to achieve. So in the room you hear no excessive reverb. But if I were to talk to you in our kitchen some 20 or so feet away there is still some reverb in the kitchen --but that's fine. As you move about our open spaces you can definitely hear a difference one room to the next, but for the purposes of critical listening and evaluating we just need to make sure our primary listening space/area/chair etc. is balanced and free of any issues and we've done that.
QOTD how do you pick a favorite? The last few months of the year really dialed up the honesty and had me laughing big time. R700, hifi Rose, and NAD to name a few (for different reasons). I can't wait to see where you take us next year!
I love the dedicated theater, especially with kids and the projector in a windowless room. Any other room a bar/sub or 2.1 is all I can really do with kids. Previous house they were in the way in a main room.
this video was my favorite of the year for the simple fact that we got to see YOUR personal choices for a system vs. a review of a product. happy new year, and keep up the great work! 🥳🍾🥂
My solution for a Centre Speaker for the Cornwall IVs was another Cornwall IV with the TV on top. To get a single Cornwall I had to find someone else who wanted to do a similar thing - only he was putting the three behind a microperforated projection screen.
Great video! I have the Cornwall IV's and the RP-600 center channel. I sure wish Klipsch offered a heritage center as you suggested. I am using the NAD T778 as my AVR. Cheers to 2023!
QOTD: Not sure I have a favorite review for 2022 but for feedback purposes I enjoy the amp reviews the most so I’ll go with the 40N by Marantz. I did enjoy the Polk speaker reviews as well since I bought the R200’s. Least favorite are soundboard and TVs but I watch them anyway. 😉. Happy New Year. See you in 2023.
Favorite video of the year. Tough question. Personally probably the reviews of them Mac and Michi amps. Something about reviewing high end gear is most interesting to me
First, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. My favorite videos are the Technics G700 MkII and The McIntosh 7200 integrated amp. I've owned the Technics mkI and loved it. And Mcintosh and, those meters, have always been my dream gear. That's not to say that your other videos haven't had an effect on the way I've approached this hobby. A year and a half ago I won the Klipsch cinema 1200 soundbar. Before your channel, I would have just sold the bar, but you guys inspired me to give it a chance. I gotta say that it wasn't bad. Not bad at all. It is finicky, especially the arc feature and but it is a viable option. Of course, I still would rather have a complete AV component setup. However, since I have a theater in my basement I can get away with a simpler setup in my living room. I am ending the soundbar experiment, though. Well at least somewhat. I'm moving it to my bedroom. The EARC inconsistency on that thing just got to be too annoying. But I'm not going back to a complete theater in the living room either. Yep, your channel has inspired me to give a 2 channel theater system (including a sub)a try. I just bought a HIFI ROSE RS250 streamer to pair with my McIntosh in my music listening/computer room. I was using a bluesound node as my streamer, but since it has HDMI arc( a stable HDMI arc) I going to use it as a preamp, connecting it to an old Emotiva XPA 200 2 channel amp, an SVS 3000 micro, and some Emotiva T1+ tower speakers. They're not the best-looking speakers but they have a decent sound. I did end up painting them a satin blue which helps a lot. That's the best thing about this channel, it presents many avenues to move about in this hobby. That's why I keep watching every week.
I had an a4a for about a month before I sent it back. It was amazing and I loved it. But I just couldn’t fall in love with 5.1 audio. Ended up selling my extra speakers and using the returned Yamaha to buy a McIntosh integrated.
Thanks to both of you for a great year!! My favorite review R700, as it alone created a BUZZ on all audiophile social media. I can’t tell you how many times I heard fellow audiophiles say “Did you see what the Robinsons said about the 700’s”…. 😂😁😁
I gotta agree with the R700 Polk review and the conversation you guys had afterwards.I spoke to me because I'm n the industry and have been for 25 years. I learned a ton about all things audio video as well as all aspects of our industry. hanging out with Engineers etc. So many things go un said that I feel should be said. I like to be more real than fluff and mystery as most audio people and some video people do. I also have to comment on I'm a bit shocked you didn't go with a full Pot Reserve system as your system. You seemed to like those R700's more than any other speaker I have seen you review here and all the articles you wrote over your time in this industry. I honestly think they are the speaker for you. You should bring them back or the R600's with a full matching 5 speaker floor level system and compare it to your current system. I'm willing to bet they will move you more than your current system. Please keep up the great work. To just touch back on the favorites, you had many great videos , I really liked the Monitor audio ones which where very good but really, you did a great job on the R700's as I felt your passion and confusion for those speakers. They made you question if anything else would be needed in a speaker and your comments on them sold me in the fact they are your speakers. Re consider them to own, maybe try to lock down those White R700's as they would go in your room perfect or get the R600's in white. Thank you guys Looking forward to 2023 videos.
I just want you to know that you made me buy a set of Heresy Iv today. They will be my first serious speakers. I am going to run them with my Emotiva ta1. Wish me luck man.
I already commented about my favorite video of the year but I wanted to add that the production quality of ALL of your videos is a real, significant thing. Audiophiles/Music/HT Enthusiasts look for quality in the presentation of the music and movies we watch, why wouldn't we want that in the youtube videos covering the same thing? It's hard for me to view other audiophile YT channels with poor presentation (both in effort and ability) and not find it be a giant juxtaposition of the content they are covering. I might be out of my depth here since I don't make any YT content myself, but focus on some camera, lighting, and mic skills, and clean the messy living room. There are plenty of other YT channels that focus just on that. (Thanks for the efforts you both put into these videos. It's obvious it's something you truly care doing and it's absolutely noticeable.)
Love the theater setup! I'm upgrading an older Klipsch RF-7 based home theater with Cornwall IV's myself. You've definitely given me something to think about with regard to in ceiling speakers. Only thing I'd say is definitely figure out a way to integrate a Heritage center. I'm currently planning to add a 3rd Cornwall for my center and not have a traditional media console at all. I'll have a small audio rack between the L and C speakers and my sub will go between the C and R speakers. (sub crawl results pending, that is)
Lumina (V) Tower video is revisited offer! HT age old question with ceiling speakers. 7.1.2 or 5.1.4? Surrounds will be in walls but not sure on the back ceilings. Guess I could reconfigure it and see what works best! Happy New Year!
Hey Andrew, enjoy the channel, I don’t comment much, but your Heritage center channel quandary got me thinking (which I try to do sometimes). How about this for a Heritage center channel solution: the tweeter and midrange cabinet for the LaScala! 🤯 Call me crazy, but it just might work! Let me know what you think… after you’ve finished laughing, of course.
I have a WAY smaller space but am running Heresy II as LR in a home theater with KG 0.5 in the rear powered by Marantz NR17xx receiver (the skinny underpowered one that seems made more Klipsch and lacking for anything else less efficient). I was initially using RP-500c but got rid of it because it never sounded that good no matter how much or little I worked with EQ. I replaced it with an old B&W matrix center channel-problem solved! with only one woofer and a tweeter mounted outside the main cabinet, it's a much cleaner sound that blends with the Heresy much better. Using a cheapo Jamo sub which I might upgrade one day but for now gets the job done. The room is just too imperfect to throw more money at it.
Thanks! I like the R700 review and audiophile commentary It was insightful. Of course your best of 2022 vid but, the Q Acoustic Concept 50 review spoke to me. The sonic capability of that speaker are what I desire. Musically with clear defined fast Bass. Sweet, not harsh treble, detail etc.. But, mostly the flawless clarity of dialogue I crave. Is there another speaker that is close for less money? Musically with clarity in home theater dialogue? Arendal 1961, Polk R700, Project Speaker Box 5 S2, ... If not, Concept 50 it is. 70's, 80's Rock for me. K pop and big band (girlfriend), pop hits. 85% home theater No center channel. Open to sub woofer if needed
@@KristiWright Thanks I'm glad I found your channel. Well polished vids and clear, concise reviews. I will watch for more integrated amp reviews to pair with my new speakers. Beautiful design of your home theater.👍
Hey, love the channel but have to make one comment. Watching some of your videos it seemed that "attenuated" was used to explain something louder. Attenuation is actually the opposite- a reduction in something. Maybe I just misunderstood but thought I'd mention it if not. Happy New Year! Keep up the great work!
Love the living room space that you have designed! Wow, I had no idea the two main speakers were so expensive! I would certainly hope they sound amazing! I was also surprised to see the use of a Yamaha based on some of the comments you would make regarding Yamaha, but the ability to fine tune the EQ curves would make sense for you since you really seem to know exactly what you are looking for in terms of sound quality. Curious, will you be doing a review of an Arcam AVR unit or Anthem AVR around the $3000-$3,500 dollar range in 2023? Would love to hear your perspective on those!
Hello Mr Robinson, Have you tried placing a heresy in the center speaker? Personally, I placed a heresy 3 in the middle of a pair of rp-8000 and it's fantastic ! Thank you for your videos...
I liked the R700 review so much I bought a pair.... Still waiting for them to be shipped. With my Emotiva XMC-1 and Crown XLS Drivecore 1502 amp they should sound great!
Regarding my favorite of your videos this year, the Concept 50 review really stood out. I've been wondering if they'd be an upgrade over my Tekton Lore Reference with my Uniti Atom. I still want to hear how the Roksan is with the Cornwalls.
Love your vids, and I agree Audyssey is garbage. But hey, I may just be an idiot but I've ran it at least 20 times, every time I switch out speakers and ALWAYS end up manually configuring everything myself. Distances are always off, as are the crossover points for the speakers. I'm the only one in my man cave 98% of the time so a tape measure and a decibel meter is all I need to set it up, to my liking. Happy New Year!
When you do the A4A review, take the time to play with Sci-Fi DSP mode for Yamaha and do the multiangle measurement (with the tripod). The music DSP modes are all gimmicks but the movie DSP modes help with Trinnov like speaker sound field processing. Dirac cannot tell the difference between an LCR setup where the three speakers are lined up in the center shoulder to shoulder 10 feet away, a setup where the speakers are at 9/12/3 o’clock, or even the C is 10 feet in the ceiling, L is 10 feet in front of you and R is 10 feet to your right. This means that it’s dependent on good speaker placement. For multi use rooms like yours where the speakers might not be perfect, YPAO and Trinnov will do a better job of knowing where the speakers are relative to the listening position in terms of angles and then adapt. Sci-Fi is one of the least intrusive processing modes where you can pretty much leave it as is the entire time.
Damn those speakers look bigger than the TV. I love it but wife would never go for them. The Polk, Concept 50 and gear awards all great vids. Wish I could just copy your set up as I’m trying to build my own 7.1 home theater but we have high vaulted ceiling so no dice on your in wall speakers. Cool concept though.
Oh man, these Cornwalls are calling to me now… my current JBL HDI 3800’s are good, but lack bass below 40 Hz, airy highs, and the sheer live presence of these big boy Cornwalls. The JBL’s sound more like the “back of the arena” vs “front row”..
I recall that YOU once stated that “break in” is not a thing. I also recall someone else saying that Klipsch take 400 hour to brake in. What is your experience in this regard?
Happy new year to you both, what I want and what wife want can be a little different especially in the regard of speakers everywhere in our open plan room :) My situation does not allow for dedicated room for home theater and the system have to be able to do both. Thank you for such a down to earth review for common folks like myself
Thanks for the amazing content throughout 2022! Looking forward to seeing more videos in 2023! You guys make a great team. Like this comment if you feel it’s time to ‘see’ Christine on the channel🤩 for 2023!
I think the Living room build was my favorite also. I'm up in age and just don't have the stamina to do those builds anymore. Why don't your Wife go on camera when she's giving her views on a Product? Happy New Year! The Old Man!👴🏾
Beautiful set up. Your Cornwalls are indeed some of the most beautiful I’ve ever seen. On the center, if you don’t want to use the heresy, try the academy or the KLF C7
Hi, I’m really null in setting up a good hifi home theatre system. We use 230-240v so which system to buy and from where? I would like to contact you personally for a clearer picture of what I need in fact.
I have the RX a4a in house! Is this the one you will be reviewing? I love the sound right out of the box, but eventually will fine tune it! Thanks for all of your advice! Hi Kristi!😊
@@andrewrobinsonreviews you have to consider how far back in that horn goes to get to the driver, how big the driver it's self is, then we have to add woofers next to or on top of that, and heritage woofers aren't exactly small. True they could probably make 6 5-8 inch woofers to go in that place, but again, we're still talking a BIG center. Elysian status
Do you think two of them subs in a small room would be good in a home cinema setup when I mean small 4 meter by 3.5 metre room 2.5 metre ceiling so 13 feet by 11.5 feet by 8 feet ceiling thanks I don’t listen at very loud levels either just don’t want one tone bass thanks
Hi Andrew and Kristi I love all your video's I am hoping you will review the AWOL VISION VANISH SERIES LTV-3500. MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! JOHN
Congrats on an awesome year of videos! Happy Holidays to you both! So glad I found this channel in 2022. I am still shopping for an AVR and that yamaha is on the list. Have you (or anyone hear) used it as a streamer? Wondering how well it works in that regard. Thanks as always!
Andrew, first time commenter longer subscriber. Where would you stack up the Anthem mrx720 for a home theater receiver? I am looking to build a system that can do both quality home theater and 2way channel music. I was just wondering if that is possible or do I need to go the separates route to achieve what am looking for. I watched your review on the klipsch's la scala for music and perhaps that could be the base of the theater experience. needless to say what I have in mind is not a dedicated home theater room but rather a 18X20 game room with an open side wall. Thanks in advance for your input.
Very interesting that you never used your home theaters. I use my dedicated home theater weekly if not daily depending on how demanding work is at that moment. Heading back in soon cause I’m watching this on the toilet lol. Had a dedicated home theater since maybe march? And have had the family room be pulling double duty as a home theater for over two years now. Much nicer to have a dedicated space to watch content in with my GF, friends, and family.
Onkyo TX-NR7100 Dirac Live option With Klipsch Optimize Mode, you can easily integrate your Klipsch Reference and Reference Premiere speakers seamlessly with your Onkyo AV receiver. Klipsch and Onkyo collaborated to implement the exact crossover values for specific new Reference Premiere speakers. Now you can simply select the model speakers to use for each individual channel, and the optimized crossover setting will be applied automatically.
Thanks for all the content! What happened to the Heco Aurora 700 review? It was one of my favorite due to the conversation around room placement. I even bought the speakers as they are one of the few that do a good job blending with decor. Love them, but miss seeing the review.
We made the decision to remove our HECO review after learning two things. One, that a retailer, one we do not wish to be affiliated with, was using our review to promote the sale of their speakers without our permission. And two, it was communicated to us that HECO is unlikely to be supported here in the US long term. Therefor, it is our recommendation that North American customers consider alternative solutions and ultimately why we pulled the remove. To be clear, we have nothing against HECO. They make a great speaker.
Absolutely the special conversion part of the R700 video. Validation. It was a great mirror provided to review our hobbies/personal interests/"investments". And I think Andrew's answer was as good & honest as Kristi's question.
I think I have to mention that all movies today, from streaming to theatrical, are 7.1.4 at the minimum. This is the starting point these days. Also this 7.1.4 is the standard for Atmos Music. My favorite videos (sorry can't remember if it's one or two), are those about the construction of the space and acoustics. I think that it's a good idea to add more videos and suggestions like these in your future content. Also, if I an allowed to ask, I am very interested to see your house guys. Make a video about that, if course only what you want to share. I am full in about interior design to. Thank you for the time to share this year with us. Have a great new one.

My favorite videos this year were the slat wall video and the Denon X1700h review. I’m building my first system right now, so the channel was super great to watch this year!
For the center channel. I'd say try the Def Tech center speakers. They are clear and full of mid too. You'll love it.
I've been asking for a heritage subwoofer and center for YEARS!!
I have a Klipsch Palladium full surround system and know they can make a crazy 3-way center if they want like they used to.
The sound treatment video was my favorite. DIY, issues, back up plans. Felt like real life.
Happy New Year!
Hi Andrew! Hi from Belize! I love everything Klipsch, so naturally I love this review!!! My Fives are still fantastic!
Absolutely the discussion around the Polks! Looking forward to 2023 guys!!
This is my favorite of the year because this video is a personal review of something you will use long term. Thanks for sharing.
Congrats!
The Bar and Speaker Box 5 S2 speakers were highlights for sure! Thanks so much for watching!
+1 for the JBL. Doesn't matter what much more "exotic" systems I listen to, JBL speakers always leave me most satisfied.
My Favorite vid of the year was the RP 8000 review. Inspired my whole RP 7.2.4 Setup!
Thank you for the reviews and content . I hope you are both having a lovely time during this festive period. I can't wait for next year's reviews. 10/10
Thank you so very, very much George! Here's to an even bigger 2023!
😍
Hi guys. Thanks so much for this post! While it may have been focused on your home theatre, I was focused on your home. I love what you've done with it. It's a calm, restful home, so easy on the eyes, while not being boring. There's lots of texture and luxury afoot. (And I'm a huge fan of your slatted walls.)
It's also spacious, which brings up a question I may have asked before: have you tamed it well?
Good morning from Boston (currently!) What a cool video, and I live all the work you put into clearly a project of true passion.
QOTD how do you pick a favorite? The last few months of the year really dialed up the honesty and had me laughing big time. R700, hifi Rose, and NAD to name a few (for different reasons). I can't wait to see where you take us next year!
😍
The best of video was the best one of the year.
I like the KLIPSCH KORNWALL speakers also. My local dealer is regularly using them.
Favorite was the Polk R700 video. I’m curious about a hidden Kanto YU passive for a center channel
this one my favourite...
Polk R700 Review was exactly what I tune into any reviewers for! Honesty
the Fives from klipsch is my favourite video of all
I love the dedicated theater, especially with kids and the projector in a windowless room. Any other room a bar/sub or 2.1 is all I can really do with kids. Previous house they were in the way in a main room.
this video was my favorite of the year for the simple fact that we got to see YOUR personal choices for a system vs. a review of a product. happy new year, and keep up the great work! 🥳🍾🥂
Fascinating ! Well done Andrew ! Happy NEW YEAR !!! My Cornwall from 1984 is still alive and KICKING, original owner here !!!!
My solution for a Centre Speaker for the Cornwall IVs was another Cornwall IV with the TV on top. To get a single Cornwall I had to find someone else who wanted to do a similar thing - only he was putting the three behind a microperforated projection screen.
I love your new set up. Happy new year’s thanks for all the videos this year
Thanks so much! We appreciate you watching and for all the support!
One of my favorites for sure was the one where Kristi had you laughing and laughing, but I dont remember what the product was..
Fantastic, can't wait for the Yamaha A4A review!
While you are at it go ahead and ask for a heritage bookshelf/surround.
I had an a4a for about a month before I sent it back.
It was amazing and I loved it. But I just couldn’t fall in love with 5.1 audio. Ended up selling my extra speakers and using the returned Yamaha to buy a McIntosh integrated.
Happy New Year.
Thanks for sharing all this great
Tech Data and experience.
Blessings in 2023.🙋♂️
I agree with Kristy. Made me interested in the speakers.
Thanks to both of you for a great year!! My favorite review R700, as it alone created a BUZZ on all audiophile social media. I can’t tell you how many times I heard fellow audiophiles say “Did you see what the Robinsons said about the 700’s”…. 😂😁😁
Much appreciated!
The Onkyo RZ50 review was my favorite
Good info, thanks for such a wonderful year of great reviews. Happy New Year!
That's awesome. I'm sure you'll love them.
(sub crawl results pending, that is)
#Hero I love hifi stereo listening, so much that I have a stereo set up on my TV right now. This is a game changing idea for me.
For me, when it comes to clarity, nothing has beat this bit.ly/3ccXaGZ.
Thanks so much for supporting the channel!
My favorite HT Is the one i can actually afdord
I liked the R700 review so much I bought a pair.... Still waiting for them to be shipped. With my Emotiva XMC-1 and Crown XLS Drivecore 1502 amp they should sound great!
Awesome videos as usual and congratulations on your new setup looking great. And happy new year 🎉
Regarding my favorite of your videos this year, the Concept 50 review really stood out.
Klipsch is best for home and theater speakers I have the ultra ll for home Khorn for 2 Chanel and Cornwall ll for another home system
I like the home theater system!
Why not the A6A? More power. I'm thinking either the A6A or the Integra 5.4 as my next receiver.
Should try an old school THX-LCR for your center channel
KT-LCR
My RF7s are awesome, I moved them into a smaller room and wish the sound could be replicated with a smaller footprint. Any recommendations?
My favorite video: "is Klipsch trolling me?" 💁🏽♂️
😂
HAHAHAHA we had fun with that one. Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for tuning in!
I have the RX a4a in house! Is this the one you will be reviewing? I love the sound right out of the box, but eventually will fine tune it!
Thanks for all of your advice! Hi Kristi!😊
The A4A has 7 amplifier channels. Are you using a separate amp for the Cornwall speakers? Which amp?
Heritage center could be the biggest center ever. Dual horns, and a huge woofer uprising or pair of woofers mtm. Huge.
Could be, then again, the midrange horn on the Heresy isn't THAT big, so... who knows.
No way on the last video of 2022 we didn't get her take on it!!!
Do you think two of them subs in a small room would be good in a home cinema setup when I mean small 4 meter by 3.5 metre room 2.5 metre ceiling so 13 feet by 11.5 feet by 8 feet ceiling thanks
I don’t listen at very loud levels either just don’t want one tone bass thanks
Perhaps you should try the rc64 111 as a center channel. I love mine
Hi Andrew and Kristi
I love all your video's I am hoping you will review the AWOL VISION VANISH SERIES LTV-3500.
Yea for Yamaha
Allo Andrew you should try REL sub woofer rel are specialiste in subwoofer and they superb low bass would be nice to have a review Michel Roy
REL will not be discussed or featured on this channel, sorry.
Correction Andrew - at 2:05 you said the Cornwalls were "light oak", but actually they are maple, as noted in your Cornwall review :)
Hey guys, how far apart are those Cornwalls?
8.5'
Andrew, first time commenter longer subscriber. Where would you stack up the Anthem mrx720 for a home theater receiver? I am looking to build a system that can do both quality home theater and 2way channel music. I was just wondering if that is possible or do I need to go the separates route to achieve what am looking for. I watched your review on the klipsch's la scala for music and perhaps that could be the base of the theater experience. needless to say what I have in mind is not a dedicated home theater room but rather a 18X20 game room with an open side wall. Thanks in advance for your input.
Stay tuned for the Anthem review!
How did you get that white oak center channel?
I made it by vinyl wrapping a black 600C as stated in the video. Products used are in the description.
@@andrewrobinsonreviews I've sampled several, and they were less than pleasing - I'll try that manufacturer.
Home theater... That's a word I haven't heard in maybe 10 years.
Onkyo TX-NR7100
Dirac Live option
With Klipsch Optimize Mode, you can easily integrate your Klipsch Reference and Reference Premiere speakers seamlessly with your Onkyo AV receiver.
That opening statement made me stop and comment "that is so true"
Be sure to watch until the end because I really am curious what your answers are going to be to our Question of the Day! Thanks so much for watching!
Absolutely the special conversion part of the R700 video. Validation. It was a great mirror provided to review our hobbies/personal interests/"investments". And I think Andrew's answer was as good & honest as Kristi's question.
I wonder what she would think of the Boucardt a700 speaker based on its implementations of different master tunings
