Hello Delaney, my names Alyssa.... Im needing some help. Im considering signing up for the onlinemakeupacademy but.... i need to know if its really worth the $1400 & "$700 value makeup kit" after module 5 it seems like you still do or dont know as far as facial application.... your profile picture looks like more advanced makeup.... but help please!
Hello Alyssa! I will have a full summary video at the end of the modules, but I can give you a brief summary to hopefully help you decide 😊 $1400 is a lot of money but it allows you to be certified in Makeup Artistry and if you are pursing this as a career (especially full time), then I think it is worth it. Depending on how advanced your makeup skills are prior to the course, some things may be easier to learn than others. A bulk of the knowledge I have found super helpful (even not being a beginner at makeup) is how to apply makeup on a client. It's a whole new world for me! Sanitary practices are vital in the industry and the knowledge in the course is wonderful! I can't 100% speak on the price as I have not completed the course yet, but I love the flexibility. Even with a full time job, sickness, and other life events, you can do this on your own timeline.. 1/2
I have also enjoyed being able to look back at past modules if I had questions. The feedback I get from instructors at OMA also is super helpful to know if I am on the right track or if I need to work on anything. As for the makeup kit, it depends on how extensive your collection is already. If you already have a MUA kit with shades of Foundation and Concealer for every skin tone (able to mix), then you may not need the makeup kit. It is a great starter kit but absolutely not needed if you already have a working artist makeup kit. Overall, it will vary on your situation as to what is worth it. But if you want to pursue any career, sometimes certifications and extra schooling can be beneficial. I will know more towards the end of this course! Hopefully this helps!!💕 2/2
