    Good points! I've been using the harmonizer live for small leads. These are the tricks I learned to get the most out of it
    1)No need to be as loud as the guitar. Too loud you will sound out of phase and artificial
    2)If someone can't bend the note 100% to pitch , ignore bends. Use vibrato and ALWAYS be on pitch
    3)Don't play fast because the harmonizer needs some milliseconds to "track" the signal. ALL harmonizers have that
    4)IGNORE chords even if you use the "smooth chords" function. Useless

      Yeah some great points there too. It definitely needs that bit of time to recognise what you’re playing so firing loads of notes in isn’t the best of ideas. And yes - if you bend, make sure you’re spot on with the target note!

    I bet it would take a lot of practice to switch back and forth for those pedal tone riffs or like the "Tears don't Fall" bridge where it goes from rhythm to lead really quickly. But if you can get that down it would be a cool effect.

      Yeah absolutely, like I said, I think this is more for actual solos or just to be used as a great writing tool. It would be a nightmare switching it off and on between pedal points otherwise! Unless you had something automating it but then again, you’d have to be super tight as a rhythm guitar player to pull it off

      @@nihilist92 Maybe if you tied it to an expression pedal. Like having the pedal all the way back is no effect and all the way forward is the 3rd harmony. It would still take a lot of practice and coordination. But it would be cool if you could get it down.

    Great video!
    Do you think it would be usable in a live setting where you need to switch keys between songs (from a floorboard or without too much menu'ing)?

    • @nihilist92
      @nihilist92  2 роки тому +1

      Thank you! I absolutely think it could be usable via setting up different banks or each song. I did a Live stream concert thing on here a while back and had to transpose my guitar down to save time switching guitars so I just used a completely different bank for those two songs that needed to be koncked down in tunng - therefore you could do exacly the same for this. One bank set to Em, another to Am or whatever and you are literaly there in two clicks on the floor.

    How do you think I would need to set up the harmonizer in a way that makes it sound like the dual guitar part from Orion if I’m already playing the higher octave part?

    • @nihilist92
      @nihilist92  2 роки тому +1

      I believe you can adjust the pitch of the harmonies themselves so long as you’re in the correct key.

    Where did you put it? In the stomps or effects?

      I think I put it in the effects.
