@SaltLifeGypsy68 Thank you so much. I''m glad you enjoyed this technique. One I've known about for about 20 years and decide to start using it again. I think I learned this from Martha Stewart. TFW and have a great day.
Thank you so much and it's so good to see your face again, hear from you and read your comment! I hope summer has been good to you and autumn is off to a wonderful start. I'm so happy you enjoyed the video and yes, so much fun on these pages. Have a blessed week and I'll see you again soon! Hugs, my friend. xo 🎃
@southernbiscuits1275 Thanks so much and TFW. Yup, a fun technique. If my memory serves me right, I think I learned this from Martha Stewart about 20+ years ago. I thought it was time to bring it back out of the vault. 🙈🤗🤣🤣
TFW and yes, go have some fun in your journal or whatever paper craft you're working on. Have a wonderful night, Kelly and thanks again for your comment. xo
@amyb82941 I hear, ya sista' 🎃 I really like this technique and it doesn't cost anything. One can always add a bit more juice as well ........ go play, experiment and have fun. Let me know how you make out with it all. Hugs, gf and thanks again. xo 🤍🎃🤍
Hi, Barbie! I have never seen the lemon juice/water technique before. And, I think I have seen many, many techniques in my crafty days. Love the effect it made on your pages! The tag is adorable and I love the thread jumble on the girl's head. TFS. ❤❤❤
@joymeadows3646 Thanks, Joy. This is definitely a fun one to play with. I'm happy you enjoyed the process and what fun you could have with this in your card making. It's an amazing day here, high 60's ... sunny 🌞 and I've been baking all day. I've got the Martha Stewart bug in my and it won't leave. Also made homemade beef stock for soup ...... the old fashion way, that is a Julia Child recipe I use. Hugs and blessings. xo 🤗 🤍
Thanks, Carol. A fun little journal. It's been awhile since I've had my hands on one and inside creating. TFW and I love your comment, after all, you are the queen of journal making. xo
Thank you very much, Maureen. I'm so happy you enjoyed the video and yes, it's getting there. If I can get a few more pages done, then once October rolls around I can work in it more on a daily basis. TY so much for watching and leaving a very nice comment. Have a wonderful week! 🎃
I love the hat you made! I also love this image, both my daughter & I have used her, she is fabulous! Your lemon water technique is very cool! Thank you for sharing! I don't mind long videos. If I can't watch all at a time, I finish it later. I started this one last night and just finished it today. Your videos are amazing!
Thanks, gf and your comment is so sweet !! I don't mind long videos from others either, Jeana .... I do the same as you. I'm so happy you enjoyed this one and liked the technique. Thanks again for stopping by and watching .... I hope you give this lemon and water a try! I think you'll love playing and creating with it. Hugs xo 🎃
Barbie I hadn’t heard of this lemon juice technique. I like the results…a definite must try. The thread veil on the cat lady is perfect…I am borrowing that idea for sure. Your little winged tag turned out cute too. Great video. TFSGF
@tatteredpaperandlace2905 Thanks, gf. All fun to do and work with. Yup, that lemon juice and water came from Martha Stewart 20+ years ago. I've been wanting to bring that technique back out of my vault and thought this book was perfect for it. Hugs, and hey, I loved your MM talk through this week. I haven't commented yet but I will. xo 👻🌼👻
Lovely work today, Barbie. (I'm behind with my viewing. School holidays for my grandchildren and a family wedding.) We used lemon juice and heat for secret messages when we were children! Brought back lovely memories. 😊
Great video, Barbie. I always adore everything you do. I love the mess of thread you used for a fascinator hat on her head. It looks terrific. I want to remember that technique. Love the lemon technique too. It’s the first time I have seen it done. It turned out great. We are all thinking of autumn and winter as the colder weather hits. It’s the first cold day in the UK to date. I feel it’s going to be a hard winter for us this year. It’s a chance to huddle up and eat comfort food and craft during the dark nights. Lots of love from England xxx
Thank you for all the love you sent from England, Dorothy. I'm glad to hear you are well and enjoying my videos and many others. This is my favorite time of year and yes, comfort food can definitely feed the soul on these cold nights. I don't like the day's getting shorter, it can be quite depressing when sunset is at 6:45 pm now ... these are the days I dread. I'm so happy you enjoyed the video and lemon juice and water technique !! It surely is a fun one. As always, thank you so much for your continued support, love and kind words. God Bless and I'll be seeing you soon. Hugs xo 🤗🎃
Hi Barb. I like the technique with the lemon juice. Using the tube gives you a lot of control over the design. The swirl smokey effect is my favorite. Definitely time for comfort food cooking. I'm thinking about making a big batch of homemade sauce and meatballs. I like to freeze the leftovers in small containers to use throughout the year for topping lunches; ravioli, eggplant Parmesan, meatball sandwiches... Also time to switch the clothes out for cooler weather. God bless 🍅 P.S. my husband is a mechanic. He is building a pretty cool T-bucket hot rod.
@juliaarmato3984 Hey, Julia and happy Autumn 🍂🍁🍂 I'd love to see your hubbies T-bucket hot rod, we have so many car enthusiasts in our area, we are spoiled with all the eye candy around us. So many, very cool cars. Today I have been making homemade beef stock by scratch, it smells so good in my house and then on to a Gluten-free Cornbread Cake by Martha Stewart. OMGOODNESS......the smells in my house today, Julia are overwhelming........it's a magnificant day; high 60's and sunny. The dogs won't leave the patio door after getting bootied out, the smells have overtaken them as well. 🤣🤣🤣 I'm so happy you enjoyed this video. I found this technique many, many years ago ..... and when I say many, it's like 20 years ago and I've always enjoyed playing around with it and thought I'd bring it back into my book. I use to do the lemon juice and water on canvas, it looks so good on that. TFW and leaving an awesome comment. I so love when others share with me, I really enjoy hearing what others are doing in their lives! Hugs xo
@myvagabondstyle TFW, gf ....... Oh, I'm nesting all right. Busy in the kitchen today, it smells like an amazing restaurant......between the homemade beef stock that's gone from the oven to the soup pot and then a Gluten-free Cornbread cake is now sitting on my counter cooling. The dogs cannot contain themselves with all the smells.........but neither can I. 😱👻👻👻 see ya chickie 🩷
Thanks for joining in Shay. Don't forget to mix the lemon juice with water ...... it's a 1:1 ratio ... this is so much fun and I'm happy you enjoyed it. Have a great week and I'll see ya soon, my dear. xo 🎃 ya, I'm pretty bummed about my mat !!
@margerybraikscow186 Margery, go get yourself a whole bag! 🍋🍋🍋🍋 You'll really enjoy playing with this technique. Feel free to add a bit more juice to see the outcome as well. TFW and I truly appreicate you stopping by, your comment and support. Blessings. 🤍💞🤍
Hey there….another good tip with the lemon juice 🍋 but those witch girls are beautiful! Love the way the journal is coming along and the papers you are choosing to cover the pink are perfect! I’m just trying to keep up with the ATC’s for October, I might have bit off more than I can chew but at least it’s not shoe leather 😂 I’ve had venison as a kid, my Dad was a hunter but now I don’t eat anything with 4 legs, just one of my quirks 😉 ❤
🦌🦌🦌Hey, Christine .... I loved you comment and I'm so happy you enjoyed the play with the lemon juice and water! I applaud anyone who does a daily challenge. I could never do that nor do I ever plan on even attempting to do that. TFW and I'll have to check out your IG to see your cards ....... if you are posting them on there. Big hugs and blessings coming your way today. I'll see you soon and the next time I have a good dose of 🦌🦌🦌I'll be thinking of you! Hugs and love 🤗😘😘😘
@shirleyatwood2193 Here you go, Shirley ......... at 14:25 you will see I talk about the 1:1 ratio of lemon juice and water .......... at 14:33 I tell everyone I'm using 2 oz water and 2 oz lemon juice 🍋🍋 enjoy!
@shirleyatwood2193 Sure, Shirley. Thanks so much for watching, I truly appreciate it. I did state it's a 1:1 ratio .... however, you can add more lemon juice if you'd like. The 1:1 ratio (I think) is easier to handle, and the medium doesn't change too quickly, you have more control. This is a really fun technique and I hope you give it a try. Again, thanks for watching and 'Happy Crafting' 🤍🌼 Have a wonderful week and blessings!
Love the veiled Lady, the new technique is awesome, and the tag is cute.
@SaltLifeGypsy68 Thank you so much. I''m glad you enjoyed this technique. One I've known about for about 20 years and decide to start using it again. I think I learned this from Martha Stewart. TFW and have a great day.
Happy Accident with the “veil” / thread! Gosh, it looks great. The water spots & burn effect also add sooooo much drama & interest.❤
