Fun fact, some of the first 262 designs were tail draggers, however they placed the gear under the nose because the jet engines were destroying the runway lol
actually they converted to nose wheel because as a taildragger the tail just wouldn't rise up during takeoff - unless the pilot hit the brakes
If they put in the pre jet engine model that used BMW prop engines for early testing That would be neat.

The ME-262 because of how late it was in the war was really only given to certain pilots, the pilots were usually the ones who chose the armament of the plane which is why you see so many unique variants.

Because of Hitler's insistence that the Me 262 should be capable of carrying bombs, it was designed to carry 500 kg of bombs on pylons mounted under the nose. Compared to that, two additional guns is not that much of a weight increase.

Same, they kinda lost me due to its removal. Was pretty much the sole purpose of me playing the game. Maus was like the Delorean. Good? Not particularly. Useful? I mean it can potentially be. Were there better options? F***ing of course but besides the point. It was too iconic to care really.

It was the heavy fighter weapons fit that was on the Bf110G and Ju88 hard nose. Intended to replace the prop driven heavy fighters/bomber destroyers.

Fun fact: In WWII the Me-262 was easily countered on landing and takeoff by allied fighter planes. If the Me-262 was developed sooner in the war and took off from better protected airfields, they would have had a massive impact on allied bombers. In fact the plane was ready to be manufactured by 1942 but Hitler rejected the idea because he thought he wouldn't need a jet fighter. It wasn't till he was loosing that he finally put the plane into the field, but it was far too late to be of any help.

Phly certainly hasn’t heard of the HG series of 262’s. These were planned 262 evolutions with integrated engines into the wings like a F-101 Voodoo. One version had the tail section replaced with a V tail like an F-117. Really sexy stuff.

Not found on Me262 I think, but "Sondergerät 500 Jagdfaust" fits in the wacky and weird German weapons inventory quite nicely . Upward firing 50mm recoilless rifle to be fit on the Me-163 rocket fighter. Connected to a primitive optical photocell of sorts that should detect the dark silouette of a bomber as the things passed underneath it...and "boom" trigger the recoilless rifle, since Me-163 was too fast for the pilot to properly aim it manually.
Phly, use SCOTT SSSTERLING (m8 HMC) and the Dauntless (SBD-3). Do some CPR on the combo series.

It got mainly removed because it’s not to balance out as you (by design) are either OP or totally UP with no in between.
And for everything else: as long as there existed at least one prototype of any tank it will stay in the game and Russia made most of their tanks at least once.

Me 262 had a ton of proposed crazy designs. For instance a prone bomber in which a bombardier would be in the place where cannons are on standard versions. There was also proposed a piston engined variant using BMW 801L engines and turboprop version using DB.021s - the last one hardly even resembled a 262 anymore. You should also check out the HG versions - particulary Me 262 HG III which somehow resembles F117 Nighthawk - hard to believe that Germans had these designs ready in 1945.
EDIT: Almost forgot about Me 262 W1 and W3 - this proposed design was supposed to be powered by Argus As 014 pulsejet engines - the ones used to propel V-1 flying bomb.
After they removed the Maus I am vowing to never play war thunder again. Goodbye community I’m going to miss you guys.

Because of the thrust being off center from the center of mass, the plane would go nose up if the trim was zeroed, but in that version, where the nose is an unholy level of heavy, it wouldn't nose up so much

Heavy jet fighter with six 30 mm (1.181 in) MK 108 cannon in the nose.
Me 262 B-1a/U1
Me 262 B-1a trainers converted into provisional night fighters, FuG 218 Neptun radar, with Hirschgeweih (eng:antler) eight-dipole antenna array. (This one isn't weird but its a premium I've wanted in WT for ages..and I say premium because over all due to the extra weight and if I remember only 2 MK 108s it would be worse than the A1a)

Me 262 (Variant)/R9 Modification
Ruhrstahl Ru 344 X-4 air-to-air missile installation. (Would be funny though cause these missiles are acoustic and ONLY work when fired against planes with R-2800s (tuned to that pitch of engine) and are rather sluggish like B-17s and such)
Of course there is the Me 262 HG I to III but of course the HG III was never built and the rumored HG II prototype was said to have been destroyed in a bombing raid before trials could have been taken so whether it should be added can be debated. May I also remind people that it unfortunately probably had a regular tail (and would be added to game as such) as the much cooler 'V' Tail which characterized the HG II and III design proposals was found to be too unstable at high speeds to be used. We most defiantly could have at the least the HG 1 in game of course.
The downforce on the horizontal stabilizers and elevators pushes down on the tail, with the main fulcrum being at the wing. You're right tho that the weight in the nose will make it less maneuverable (in theory).
Now I am looking forward to a German pilot just sits on a flying 88+some 105s with jets.

I still have it, and the Panther II, and the Corelian. It is a shame that newer players wont ever be able to play with it though.
Those MK103 are so damn good and deadly, this is a nightmare when you play french AMX series, it kills you so easily.

In regards to crazy Me-262’s, this one’s not so much a crazy design as a crazy armament, but the Germans were developing a new cannon for it: the MK 112. This thing was similar to the MK 108; you know, “high rate of fire, low muzzle velocity, massive cheek-clapping capability, etc”. Would’ve had a RoF of around 300 rounds per minute, muzzle velocity woulda been something like 574m/s. They were planning to fit pairs of them with 25 (yes, just 25) rounds per gun in the nose of the Me-262, but there were also plans to fit them to some of the later-model Ar-234’s for use as night fighters, and even to strap them onto the Do-335 in underwing mounts.
Here’s the kicker, though: the rounds this thing was supposed to fire were 55mm x 174mm. And each one weighed about 3.3 pounds. I could be wrong, but I’m pretty sure that’s about the size of a can of Red Bull.
They actually had about 15-20 prototypes of the gun built by war’s end, although none were ever mounted in a plane or tested in combat. We *did* use information gained from testing the things in developing our own 57mm T78 autocannon, but that never saw service either. Still, though. Größer Schlange Energie.

The M262 Meschershmit was one of the first Jet fighters, with speed and superior firepower. But the drawback was it was not very maneuverable, plus it was a gas guzzler. Though when American POWs and their German guards saw the jets flying through the air they all thought that the tide of war turned to Germanys favor
