I love his interactions with Blake. He’s trying to teach her something but all Blake wants to do is read her book. She acts like such a teenager talking back to her mom looking at her phone.

It's nice to see that everyone (except Carmine, Hakumen, Hazama and Susano'o who just see Merkava as a monster) are very sympathetic to Merkava and see him as a person and not a mindless beast. Even when Merkava is struggling with his hunger during his interactions with Teddie and Celica, they still care for him. It must feel good for Merkava when Jubei reassures him that his humanity is not gone. Even though Orie (who should've had an interaction with him) has every right to believe he murdered her parents and be angry with him, she empathizes with his humanity and wants to give him the benefit of the doubt first before trying to excorsie him (trying to see if there are other sentient voids like Merkava first).
Except I don’t think that was actually supposed to be merkava’s line with jubei in the beginning… he was supposed to comment on them being beasts and goad him to let out the feral instincts. The current line is taken from his intro with Hazama I believe.

I like the Jubei Markava interaction
