Same I fought one with the 3rd Variation (Totem one) and getting the def + dmg totem out then waiting for that one punish is so satifiying easy 35%+. Also using Kotal's parry when he try command runs at you is really good
Pretty much. The closest thing we have to normal humans is the special forces characters, but they're always decked out with tech, super human skill, or actual powers like the cage's. Overpowered or not, I think I'm still definitely going to main shao kahn, hes just too fun to play.
I think he’s perfect just the way he is. His KB hardly hit online besides his forward 3, 4. He gets outzoned by characters with better projectiles and when he’s up and personal, he’s great. My only grip is that I wish his shotgun KB was easier to get. Perhaps making his shoutgun whif instead of being in a row like Gera’s sand trap. Or, if you wanna keep it being in a row, how about turning the last meterburn shotgun blast into a mid. The opponent could duck the first two highs, but the last will be a mid. If I’m gonna spend my two bars, just so they can all miss, at least the last one could be a mid.
I think terminator is fine he has a lot of gaps in his strings and is really dependent on his opponents stupidity and a good opponent will always counter you.
Its more about how when a new character is released that they will never be how they were when they first got released. Just a fact of any competitive games with fixed characters

He’s a living breathing cancer upon this game, like I’m attempting to enjoy the game not a mix-up, grapple, always safe and antizone hell from one character that occasionally has setups and don’t get me fucking started on his armor move.

@@ww3032 I don't think so. It's pretty specific that the first hit has to miss, other similar mind game strings state that only the last hit needs to land. The string is meant to catch people poking, but the KB itself is all about spacing.
The start up frames being so similar should make it hard to fuzzy but we talking 20+ start up frames. Its not like has any deceptive animations either. He does a huge step kick for the low and a big lunging swing for the overhead. Anybody with semi decent reactions should be able to block this shit no problem
I’ve been a Shang main for a long time and I’m getting really good with terminator, if people wanna talk about being overpowered, try Shang tsungs shake ability that absorbs projectiles. I go against people that are so used to using projectiles after completing their normal combos, I can punish them with shake ALL DAY LONG. Some characters don’t need nerfed, the only reason people call for it is because they face against someone that can use their own opponents ignorance against themselves. Instead of calling for a nerf, get better at predicting the enemy and use it to your advantage. This is a chess game.
Nrs is so shady, they make the dlc characters good so you would buy them but then they just nerf the character later, and then they're not as fun as they used to be smh
I don't understand why people are saying he needs nerfs and is OP. Dude has great damage, and mixups (also good projectiles/command grab depending on variation) which is a really good set of things for a character to have, but he's super slow, gets zoned easily, and has a ton of pauses in his moves which makes him easy to react to and even flawless block if you know the timing. He's a character with strong strengths and exploitable weaknesses, which is how every character should be. Nerfing him would just be a stupid idea
I think against pros that variation 3 might be the best, but variation 1 is the noob killer. He might want tweaking- but it's too soon to tell if he truly NEEDs a nerf beyond a doubt. Let him play in tournaments and see how he looks there, then decide to nerf if all the pro touney's are T-800 mirrors or something.

I've been playing MK games all my life and I know better than to get online without knowing the ins and outs of my character. Anyone doing otherwise lacks common sense and deserves the ass beating they're about to get
I’ve been playing him a lot, and I think he’s definitely not overpowered and in a couple months people are going to see that more. He does have probably the best mixups in the game, but, he has T Rex buttons. His range is so puny that many characters can make his goal of getting in a nightmare. Once he gets in, he can do a lot of damage, but you need to play very patient with him to get a reward in some matchups.
I really hate people who complain about a character being overpowered just because they have a hard time beating him, your job as a player is to find a way to counter each and every single move that can be thrown at you, not to complain about *you* not being able to counter some sort of attack. This is also a reason why I think spammers are way too hated in the gaming community, it's VERY easy to beat a spammer with just some patience and some GODDAMNED INTELLIGENCE!
Actually, the F3,4 KB only works if you MISS the first hit. The opponent blocking the first hit and then you landing the second hit does not trigger the KB. KB description even says MISS
I didn't know Arnold was so broken i just loved the Terminator movies but the Running man is what i use to counter Zoning with the grapple boosted into nut stomp its taking into consideration the timing between projectiles and how fast someone can throw the next projectile it works to marvelously against zoners
If you think about it, Terminator is probably in the public testing stage, he was just released not long ago, so I think there will be changes in a later update. Like Underdawg said, he doesnt need to be nerfed, he just needs some tweaks. Heres an idea: Stop nerfing the good characters. Start buffing the bad characters. Especially Johnny Cage. They massacred my boy Johnny.
Terminator is like Kabal: High damage off of most any combo starter, almost completely safe combos on block, and no great advancing mids. Terminator has actual mixups that lead into full combos though which unfortunately Kabal doesn't have.
I mean to be honest I'm not Terminator player and the more defensive my enemy is that use your goes if they're hyper aggro it's hard to get going it doesn't have a lot of great defensive moves and even his up 2 can be avoided in weird ways so Keep the pressure up is the best way to win
I haven't been to any local mk11 events since the T-800 release nor seen any offline tournaments which I would really love to see but he's most definitely a high pinged wifi warriors dream character.
I think they purposely make the dlc characters stronger on the Kombat pack week so they can sell more packs (I get it), but they get nerfed after. I remember when Both Nightwolf and Shang did crazy amounts of damage, and now they don’t. Just saying, don’t get too excited about his damage, it’s still the pre-sale week.
No. Right now he has a Lot of predictible moves, nothing so fast And huge gaps on those 50/50... He's this good right now because people still don't know his matchup. Also, any zoner or semi-zoners in the game can smash Terminator really easy. Either way, it's way too soon to talk about It.

This Karacter is awesome against people who spam key moves and have a pocket Kaballsak. In KL a Kabal player using buzz and wake up. I used Destroyer in that 1st match. But then I Stopped that shit thanks to incapacitater. He tried changing up his strategy and......well, My superior programming won. He was sent down a rank. He Got Terminated 😎

He is fine, is slow and has bad range with a slow projectile unless you are using grenades which have a cool down or his amp low special which needs meter. Basically a true grappler wity grappler strength amd weaknesses.
Yes Terminator probably does need a nerf but he also requires a buff because his Endoskeletan ability takes up two spaces and it's garbage, it makes him less mobile and he takes normal damage while in it.
And if you win you dont even get to do a fatality in that form. If its gonna take up two spaces it needs at least a combo or two. Or maybe a brutality specific to that form would be dope

If you amp the shotgun backwards it's a mid, forward is a high

Hes a good character for punishes. His uppercut is slow, and no distance. He is also terrible at range, and his chains are easy to drop and interrupt.
Kota B he has a ton of gaps yes but you have to guess on three different timings plus a command grab. You my friend are an idiot.

Actually, just a small correction, for the forward 3, 4 KB, the first hit has to miss entirely, if it's blocked the KB won't come out.
I feel like this might be a bug. In the tutorial, I get the impression that the f34 kb is there to confuse players who try to poke out of f32.

I’ve been a Shang main for a long time and I’m getting really good with terminator, if people wanna talk about being overpowered, try Shang tsungs shake ability that absorbs projectiles. I go against people that are so used to using projectiles after completing their normal combos, I can punish them with shake ALL DAY LONG. Some characters don’t need nerfed, the only reason people call for it is because they face against someone that can use their own opponents ignorance against themselves. Instead of calling for a nerf, get better at predicting the enemy and use it to your advantage. This is a chess game.
The low over head string is very easy to block

I don't understand why people are saying he needs nerfs and is OP. Dude has great damage, and mixups (also good projectiles/command grab depending on variation) which is a really good set of things for a character to have, but he's super slow, gets zoned easily, and has a ton of pauses in his moves which makes him easy to react to and even flawless block if you know the timing. He's a character with strong strengths and exploitable weaknesses, which is how every character should be. Nerfing him would just be a stupid idea
I think against pros that variation 3 might be the best, but variation 1 is the noob killer. He might want tweaking- but it's too soon to tell if he truly NEEDs a nerf beyond a doubt. Let him play in tournaments and see how he looks there, then decide to nerf if all the pro touney's are T-800 mirrors or something.

I’ve been playing him a lot, and I think he’s definitely not overpowered and in a couple months people are going to see that more. He does have probably the best mixups in the game, but, he has T Rex buttons. His range is so puny that many characters can make his goal of getting in a nightmare. Once he gets in, he can do a lot of damage, but you need to play very patient with him to get a reward in some matchups.

I really hate people who complain about a character being overpowered just because they have a hard time beating him, your job as a player is to find a way to counter each and every single move that can be thrown at you, not to complain about *you* not being able to counter some sort of attack. This is also a reason why I think spammers are way too hated in the gaming community, it's VERY easy to beat a spammer with just some patience and some GODDAMNED INTELLIGENCE!

Actually, the F3,4 KB only works if you MISS the first hit. The opponent blocking the first hit and then you landing the second hit does not trigger the KB.

If you think about it, Terminator is probably in the public testing stage, he was just released not long ago, so I think there will be changes in a later update. Like Underdawg said, he doesnt need to be nerfed, he just needs some tweaks. Heres an idea: Stop nerfing the good characters. Start buffing the bad characters. Especially Johnny Cage. Terminator is like Kabal: High damage off of most any combo starter, almost completely safe combos on block, and no great advancing mids. Terminator has actual mixups that lead into full combos though which unfortunately Kabal doesn't have.
Yea kabal feels like he should have kombos and zoning as seperate variations but it is dissapointing to not have some moves not kombo as you expected.
I don't like seeing Arnold get hurt.

I think they purposely make the dlc characters stronger on the Kombat pack week so they can sell more packs (I get it), but they get nerfed after. I remember when Both Nightwolf and Shang did crazy amounts of damage, and now they don’t. Just saying, don’t get too excited about his damage, it’s still the pre-sale week.

I love this game for the beauty, the lore, the KBs, the customization, the characters, but the gameplay sucks for the reasons you mentioned. And let's not forget Johnny cage who STILL has his stupid hurtbox where he dodges high attacks even when crouch blocking. I main Liu and can't get plus frames on Johnny, everybody knows about the gap in F4 so can't do that, and 1,2 just goes over his head no matter what.

This Karacter is awesome against people who spam key moves and have a pocket Kaballsak. In KL a Kabal player using buzz and wake up. I used Destroyer in that 1st match. But then I Stopped that shit thanks to incapacitater. He tried changing up his strategy and......well, My superior programming won. He was sent down a rank.

Scorpion's variation 3 has a db1,3 which is a 3 frame mid
He is fine, is slow and has bad range with a slow projectile unless you are using grenades which have a cool down or his amp low special which needs meter. Basically a true grappler wity grappler strength amd weaknesses.

Yes Terminator probably does need a nerf but he also requires a buff because his Endoskeletan ability takes up two spaces and it's garbage, it makes him less mobile and he takes normal damage while in it.
And if you win you dont even get to do a fatality in that form. If its gonna take up two spaces it needs at least a combo or two. Or maybe a brutality specific to that form would be dope
