    I think Thermos' ( all brands) are so under-utilized! I'm sure you already know about putting hot water into the Thermos', for a few minutes, to pre-heat before adding the soup. Stays hot longer....you can also do the reverse (cold water/ice) before adding in a cold drink, to pre-cool. wonderful trip and absolutely gorgeous ~

    Wow! I loved it! I travel quite a bit, usually but have never been there . Thanks! Let’s cuddle! 😂 so funny! And yes home made noodles. I think I have a recipe and have made home made pasta. Shouldn’t be too hard. Loved it so much. Thanks . You and Jim are so cute ! My husband and I are like that. We’re very lucky to have good men in our lives!

      Yes, it is interesting how what we observe in current landscapes had such a diverse geological history so different what it looks like now.

    “historical” vs. “observational” science when talking about millions of years that's historical science. Historical science is not the same as opservational science.

    Do you prewarm the thermos with hot water before you fill with soup?

    • @trailgrazers3690
      @trailgrazers3690  6 місяців тому

      Yes, sometimes. Other times I forget and just put the soup in. I don't really notice much of a difference.

    Thanks for sharing your trip with us. The scenery is amazing. You would love some of the trips to Central Oregon to see all the areas with the lava flows. There are so many areas and even a Lava Cast Forest where you take a trail and go where these lava flows are huge. There are ice caves to go into as well in this area and a lookout on the Mackenzie Pass that is all lava and you can see from all directions the mountains in the area. You would love it. You have such beautiful things to see in your state.

    Thank you for the field trip. Was I hearing lava salt? My audio was all the way up, but, I was having problems understanding some of the terms. My question- Can you gather any of the lava and maybe even some of the red sand to take back to your garden? The mineral contents must be through the roof, and would give your garden a massive boost, if it's usable.

    • @trailgrazers3690
      @trailgrazers3690  8 місяців тому

      You were hearing "basalt" which is hardened lava rock. Like most state and national parks you can't take specimens or I would be doing exactly that!
